hate cottage cheese love this

Saturday, June 26, 2010

I have always hated cottage cheese but ran across this recipe and thought i
would try it and see if it will let me get some cottage cheese in my diet.... I
love it

8 oz low fat small curd cottage cheese
8 oz of cool whip fat free
8 oz of crushed pineapple drained
1 small package of sugar free jello any flavor
2 oz of mixed nuts chopped

mix cheese and dry jello together
stir in pineapple
fold in cool whip
stir in nuts
chill 2 hours

i figured 10 servings at 106 calories, 3.5 fat and 4.4 protein

if someone can figure out exact serving size for me and how many servings this
actually makes I would forever be grateful... but in mean time I love this
recipe...

The bad news is that it's up to you to determine the serving/portion size. You know the total nutritional figures when you mix all the ingredients together. Try dividing the whole thing into portions according to how they'll be used: Breakfast or lunch gets a larger portion, a snack or dessert is smaller.

Alas, as Euclid said to Ptolemy, "Your Highness, there are no royal roads to geometry."

Changing Routine

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Well since my last blog... I am still on my plateau.... so I have decided to change my routine and mix it up a bit.....

Been doing the same routine at gym for 6 months.... so I talked to the personal trainer at the gym..( he is also a freind of mine) and we are gonna start changing my routine next week... make it more intense and mix it up abit....

I have tracked my food and exercise for 6 days in a row now.. where before I was hit and miss....

Changing the way I make some of my routine foods... like my protein shake every day used to be yogert, soy milk and protein powder..... now I will make it with protein powder, soy milk and some crystal light and save my yogurt for a snack later...

Made a home made vegetable soup tonight..... just took all my leftover vegies from fridge... (carrots, cauliflower, asparagus, mixed peppers, celery) put them all in my chopper so they were small pieces for me... and put them in slow cooker with chicken boullion cubes, italian seasoning, parmesan herb seasoning and vegetable seasoning.... cooked in slow cooker while I went to gym... then came home and added potato flakes and cheddar cheese....turned out awesome and only 68 calories for a one cup serving ( guestimating serving size)

So hopefully with all these changes I am going to do maybe it will help me lose this last 20#... wish me luck
