This is June and it is still so cool and a bit overcast! Oh, yeah, Summer is not here until isn't is about the 20th?? Oh, and that is tomorrow! YEAH!! I think I am the only one in my family who is looking forward to those long, hot Summer days!! Like my Mother, the heat does not bother me.
I have dome a bit of sewing - there is a website that occasionally has a mystery quilt block and have that almost finished. So fun to pick the colors and not have any idea about what you will end up with. This time ii is the "Comedy/Tragedy" Masks. Not sure how they are supposed to fit together but I'm working on it. Also am finishing some quilted potholders.
My granddaughters have started swimming for the summer - I will be picking up Jenni about 9:15 - they start at 7 each morning - their Dad takes them and I will be taking them home part of the time.
And, will be meeting Elaine for coffee this morning. That is a highlight for my week - always enjoy my time with her.
Well, off to get ready.

Was just "surfing" the web and found this "This is your life! Are you doing what you want to do?" But, today I am not even sure I know who I am.
I could sit here and moan and feel sorry for myself - but I am not going to!! So am going to get up and make a plan for the day:
1. Plan dinner for this evening when Greg, #2 child, comes for dinner.
2. Run a few errands - pick up a few needed groceries and to WalMart to get myself a couple more sweatshirts. Not sure is we are going to have a summer. Oh, I know we will eventually, but it is still cool, breezy and rainy.
3. Begin a Bible study that I receive by email. From www.jesuswalk.com - this study is about the Names of God - have done before, but it is so very good.
4. Fix dinner for this evening and enjoy a time with 2 of my boys.
But, is this what defines me? Who am I really?? What makes me tick? Haven't heard that phrase for quite a while. Need to explore that thought for a while!

YOO HOO!! My weight ticker just went down a couple more notches. Have been really watching my diet each day - one thing I am gradually decreasing is cheese - I love cheese!! That has been a favorite snack in the evenings. But, have been eating popcorn. Plain popped in the microwave with a bit of melted butter - and no salt.
And, have been MOVING! Not counting the steps so much, but just moving more and more each day. I love to knit and hand piece quilt tops and read - so do a lot of sitting. But, now limit my sitting time - even have my timer set to remind me to get up.
Yesterday evening Greg came for dinner and a movie. Fixed tacos - his favorite. And, he brought us a BluRay player for our TV. So we connected it and watched a movie from netflix.com. The movie was Legally Blonde 2 - just as good as the first one. Wonder if they will make a #3. Hope so.
Well, my timer just went off!! - So better get off my duff and move a bit - but I will be back!
