More Steps

Well, I remembered my pedometer today, but had only about 2800 steps when I got home from church this evening - not enough!!. So took a walk with Leslie Sansone - and now it reads 4062. YEAH!! So that will really help my daily average for the week. My goal for this week is at least 3000 per day.

My daughter has lost 12 lbs. using the Weight Watchers formula. She is really doing good. So tomorrow she is going to stop by the church where I work and is going to go over the system for me - and I am going to "try" to follow the plan with her. We will see how that goes. Sure would like to get some weight off. But, just wishing is not going to do it. I really do not eat that much - just the wrong things at the wrong time of day.

It is past my bedtime - so had better "hit the sack"!!!

I forgot my pedometer Sat and Sun - Is that a good excuse???
So, today went to WalMart to get my steps in today - and tonight my pedometer reads 3624 steps. YEAH!! Someday I might even have 500o average. I think that will be my next goal. Guess I'll being "shopping' at WalMart a lot. It is such a big store and I just love to "window shop" there.

Ronnie, you are such an encouragement - and Martha, love hearing about the happenings in your day. Miss you when I don't hear from you!!

Well, it is definite bed time - my eyelids are getting so heavy!!

The computer is fixed so I'm back with you, been busy all morning catching up with computer stuff and doing more pesky apples for the freezer now I'm going to make my lunch...an omelette, fruit and a nice low calorie hot chocolate and read for a while, it's a Kathy Reichs novel called 206 bones...love forensic stuff...lol...doesn't put me off my dinner!! emoticonthen I'm going for a nice long walk and doing a spot of gardening. It's chilly but dry for a change!

A Good Sunday!

Church today was good - as usual. After, my daughter, her two younger daughters, and I went to Taco Bell for lunch. (Eric is out hunting - to provide for his family). Then they came over here. The girls watched the Disney Channel (they do not have it at home) and Kathi played a new computer game that I bought recently. Now, I think she is going to want it for her computer.

She is having a hard time right now. She has finished Nursing School and the only position she has been able to find is at one of the nursing homes. She is working nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. - rotating nights. This is a quite a bit for a new nurse to be responsible for - and she is such a caring gal. I am hoping that she will soon be able to get on at the hospital.

I was planning to take a walk this afternoon - but did not with them here. And, I forgot my pedometer this morning - so no steps recorded.

But, tomorrow begins a new week - so will do better YES!!!!

Hope you all had a good weekend - I did - Did not get all done that I had wanted to - but this is OK. I just do what I can - if it does not all get done - well, so be it!!!

  Church was good today for me as well as I have youth ministry every second and fourth Sunday and really didn't know what to do with these tween teens at first. It's getting better and better for me. She's find a hospital job however, don't let her take the nursing home job lightly. Some have family members who never visit so she's a familiar face and may be the last face some of them see. Sometimes, we can only do what we can do; taking one day at a time, Sweet Jesus! emoticon

Today's Ramblings

Having a busy day at home. I slept in!! until almost 9 - can't believe I actually slept almost 11 hours. Don't remember when I slept this late.
So, today am cleaning the kitchen. Have cleaned the courters, swept and mopped, and even changed the light bulbs - it was getting just too dark to see. hee hee. And, have swept and mopped the dining area.

Also, cleaned off a small bookcase that sits in the corner - and gathers who-kn0ws-what!! during the week. Feels good to be able to toss out some papers and even a couple of books that will not be read - and that I really do not want to give to the Used Book store here.

It is overcast today - but still in the 70s - does not feel that warm except that I have a sweatshirt on - Love this time of year!!!

My son and I have been ordering from Schwans and find that what we have ordered is just right for us. We do not eat much meat - so a package will last 2 or 3 meals. Have been pleased so far with what we have ordered. Now, keep looking at the catalog and on line to decide what to order next. My sister is the one who got us started.

Now to clean off the dining room table that has collected from the bookcase and the kitchen - things to discard or to put away!! Somehow, i am like a little kid - just do not put things away when I am finished with them!! emoticon So, it is hard to teach my granddaughters to put away things.


A Good Look at My TO DO LIST!

Am feeling somewhat lost today! It must be time to look at my goals and redefine them. In a Bible study at church we have been sharing what our goals are in our relationship with God. Have been looking at all the "things" in my life. It is time to reevaluate all that I think I have to do! How important are they really? Do they truly honor God in my life?

He is the One who gave me life - and I do not honor Him by not taking care of this body that He gave me. I do not take my vitamins and calcium regularly. I do not exercise regularly. I do not drink enough water. I am not losing any weight. I am not walking like I really want to. I am eating much better, tho.

So, my goal for this week is to take a look at my "TO DO LIST"! Today is Wed. - tonight is Dinner and Bible Study at Church. This is definitely on my list!

    emoticon emoticon emoticon Refocus and then get back on track. I know you will get back on track after you think about just why you want to lose weight and how important it is to you. Then maybe you need to revamp your goals.Your Spark friends are here to help you in any way they can. emoticon
