The Last Day of Rodeo.

Sunday, September 19, 2010

Had my granddaughter, Jillianna, today while the rest of the family went to the rodeo. She is 10 years old and a real delight. We had to go to WalMart to pick up a few groceries and ended up there just about the time the rodeo was getting out - so there was lots of traffic and pedestrians. Everyone looked like they had had a great time!!

I have purchased a computer game and let her play - she just took off with it - Her birthday is next month so may get her a copy. Was so fun just watching her play!!

Tho, I did not go to a walk I did manage to get in 2400 steps - guess that trip to WalMart helped.

Seems quiet tonight - but am sure there is still lots of partying going on downtown. The amazing thing is that in the morning all of the downtown will be cleaned up and you would not know that Rodeo had just come to town.

By Monday, we will be almost back to the quiet little town of Pendleton.

Today's Walk

Friday, September 17, 2010

Today was the West Ward Ho Parade. I went to take some pictures, but did not stay. Here are a couple that I did take:

Walked over to Roy Raley Park where we had our Round-Up Sunday service and then back on the River Way Walk. So took a few pictures there:

The window on the far left is our dining room/kitchen window:

Did not get pictures of the parade but did rack up a lot of steps - over 5000 so far today!!!

Looks a grand parade and the trees are definitely turning colour.
Way to go with the steps Barb, they soon mount up when you're doing something you enjoy emoticon

Round-Up Has Taken Over -------

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Well, Round-Up has taken over Pendleton!! Yesterday driving thru town - parking lots filled with trailers and cars; Main Street blocked off as vendors set up their booths; booths, cars, people around the Round-Up grounds!! What an exciting time for our quiet little town. emoticon

Last night when we had the door open we could hear the Main Street Cowboys music and some of the crowd cheering!! They are really loud!! emoticon

Today we had our Round-Up Sunday in the Park and just want to share a few pictures I took. Here is our Worship Leader and one of the ladies in our church as they lead the music:

Our Pastor introducing our speaker:

Our speaker, Marty Campbell and his wife, Mandie. He was a bull rider in his younger days, but broke his back in a fall. Now he teaches Ag at the High School and is much loved by the students and in our Commuity:

Here we are waiting in line for lunch -
