Hoping to get out of work at a decent time today!!

Tuesday, June 05, 2007

So I am back at my regular job today and I am already wondering about what time I will be done with everything I have to do! Because not only am I cross training at my new job a few days a week; I am also training my replacement. Even though my replacement is very sharp and picking things up quickly, it still takes time to explain everything so that does slow my pace.

I want to leave in time to get home for a good workout this evening. I was kind of tired last night so I did a gentle yoga workout but that does not really burn many calories! So my plan is to hit the elliptical and Bowflex tonight and then go to physical therapy tomorrow. Then Thursday and Friday are in the air as my dads surgery happens on Thursday.

Otherwise, doing pretty good sticking to my nutrition plan and not going over my max calories. I also have to watch my fat grams because I do go over that limit quite regularly even though I still stay under my max calories.

I did it!! 3 solid workouts in 3 days!! YEAH!!

It got a little grueling toward the end but I coaxed my legs thru the pain!! Now my plan is to try to squeeze in 3 mild workouts in between work, cross training for my new job, physical therapy, and my dads surgery on Thursday. This will definitely be an interesting week!!

Over the weekend I tried out my new Polar F4 heart rate monitor. I am going to assume that Polar has worked out the formulas for calories burned when given the correct age, weight, and gender. If nothing else, I would assume that their formula is closer than the calories listed in the fitness section here in Sparks. I was surprised to see that an hour of circuit training on the Bowflex came mighty close to the calories burned for 30 minutes on the elliptical. So I have started manually entering my fitness calories so I can get a better idea of what it takes to really burn off a pound. So far, I would say a lot of hard work!!

2 workouts down, 1 more to go this afternoon!

Sunday, June 03, 2007

I have been really good this weekend with watching what I eat as well as getting in good, solid workouts! I just finished my lunch so again as soon as my tummy settles; I plan to knock my third of three workouts this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow I can get in a good workout and then either Tuesday or Wednesday as well. Then I can take a break from my workouts as my dad has his surgery on Thursday. I am not going to plan to do too much either Thursday or Friday since I will be a good 2 hours from my house both days.

Otherwise, still having problems with my allergies settling down but at least my head has not made that miserable leap from being irritated to full blown sinus headache.

Quiet little note here: these past few days, every time I step on the scale, it says 160, a full pound less than 161! In fact, this morning, I even saw 159.5!! But I am not going to get too excited and think I am off my plateau. But it is a good sign along with the fact that I might have closet gnomes who are making my pants fit a little looser!!

One workout down, 2 more to go this weekend!!

Saturday, June 02, 2007

So I got in a good workout on my elliptical and then on my Bowflex. My plan is to do one each day this weekend, including Friday. As soon as my lunch settles, I will get back on my elliptical and Bowflex and then be batting 1000!

Otherwise, my allergies a re really bugging me and I have been trying to stay on top of it with the benadryl and the Sudafed. I know if it ever blossoms into a sinus headache, I am in big trouble as my usual pattern when I get those headaches is to inhale chocolate! Hopefully, I can stay on top of my allergies!!

Oh and I tried Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches for the first time. My coworker at the job I am transferring to said she loved them. I tried the cookies and cream ice cream sandwich and it was pretty good. And only 150 calories!

Goal for the weekend: 3 great workouts!!

Friday, June 01, 2007

I am home today on my every other Friday work schedule. So my plan is to get in 3 great workouts on my elliptical and my Bowflex. And there is a new twist here! My hunny has started the P90X and wanted a heart rate monitor as part of the program. I had been curious about them so I also ordered one. We got him the Polar F6 and for me the Polar F4. I know the more expensive models have really cool bells and whistles but they also cost a whole lot more! So that is my plan for my workouts this weekend. Now how I do on food is another thing. After my lunch settles, I plan to do my workouts and see how my heart rate monitor works. Should be interesting!!
