Normal dayTuesday, May 03, 2011Spent 2 hrs and 29 mins cleaning the house today. All the dust from working on the house. I was having trouble breathing a little today, mostly I think from the winds we had yesterday. There is/was a fire out on Catalina Island, even with it being about 40 miles away, the wind just blew it inland. Used the sledge hammer yesterday for the first time. DH took pictures of me slamming it into the fireplace. What fun! LOL Help Frank load up the truck, George came over to talk about the final plans for the house redo and just had a pretty good day. It was very warm in the upper 90's. I know I will be doing a lot of cleaning when we start up in June. Construction zone is coming and I have to do my own clean up. Not like watching "Holmes on Homes" where the workers clean up their messes. OK no problem. lol ![]()

Yup, the smoke from the fires in West Texas was bad here, too. Thank goodness they have put them out. I know that your remodel is lots of work, but just the same, lots of fun! Take care of yourself, and watch out for the sledgehammer! Chris Report Inappropriate Comment |

You could try to send some of that heat our way, not all though! Yesterday we were 25 degrees below normal and we have been running that way. Today we actually got up into the 60's and there were no coats, sweatshirts, and sweaters in sight. Boy, a double whammy with the dust and the smoke. Take care of those lungs!! I get a sinus infection every time I start cleaning a dusty area. I try to keep those areas to a minimum but there is always somewhere I forget about that is accumulating. It doesn't help that I was diagnosed by an allergy specialist as being allergic to dust, mold, trees and grass! Easy to avoid those, right? Actually, it's not as bad as it sounds. It's only during grass cutting time or in a very moldy area that it bothers me. Hope you feel better soon! Report Inappropriate Comment |

I love hearing that you got to use the sledge hammer...I bet that was so much fun. Could you send some for that heat this way...its so bad that our HIGH is not even reaching our average LOW! We might reach 50 degrees today. Hope today is a great day for you!

Its been so dry and windy here, I have to wonder when the forest fires will start. Even though we live 88 miles from the nearest one, they always seem to blow in on our city :( Right now the dust being stirred up by our strong winds means I get a runny nose every time I go out the door :( Cleaning is great exercise. I washed my windows and vacuumed today. Will be a very busy bridge week coming up, so not much time to do anything else.. Have a terrific Tuesday! Hugs, Linda Report Inappropriate Comment |

Got up and of course my DH started up on the chimney again along with our son. It is almost done and I will post more pictures. Jeff just asked me if I wanted to use the sledge hammer tomorrow. You know I am all over that and can't wait to swing that 8 pounds. Better than the gym.
Did some errands, went to the market. Came home and had lunch with the boys, who then went back to destroying the chimney. I went to the gym and had two good cardio workouts. Jogged for 50 min. today and close to 4 miles.
Came home and turned on NASCAR, Jeff didn't realize it was on. Silly man.
Made dinner Shrimp with Angel Hair pasta added to it. Along with some mixed veggies and mini sugar free banana muffins along with 1% milk. I then took Phred for his walk and did the dishes. Sort of boring, normal day.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!
