Woke up at 6:16am with renewed energy

I woke up an hour b/4 the alarm is suppose to go off this morning. I decided to go ahead and go to the bathroom, plus take my morning meds. I tried to go back to sleep for close to 50 min. and my head started to hurt so I got up.

Read about half the morning paper and then started on the house cleaning, dusting everything top to bottom, vacuuming including the couches and moving the furniture to get behind everything, did both bathrooms and also mopped. Took about 3 hrs. but since my DH called in the middle of vacuuming I took a few min. to talk to him so the total was 2h45m.
He said he had the day off and was going to visit one of the museums in Chicago. Well, he ended staying in the room/condo all day just kicking back. He finally had a day off to see the sites and he stayed at the condo, men, go figure. I would have been out trying to see something. Speaking of the devil guess who just called, I guess his ears were burning. LOL
Had a lot of energy today so I took Phred for a long walk too. Look forward to going to the gym tomorrow.

    Wow! You got an a lot done! Don't know why you would need an alarm if you don't have to go out.. I don't need one. Insomnia means I am always up :) I am sure Phred enjoyed the walk!

    I woke up this morning before the alarm went off, too, in the Motel! Got up and got ready to go to the last day of the Clinic, ate breakfast which was served at 6 AM in the motel. The eggs were cold, and so was the rest of the food, but at least the coffee was good! OH, my....How nice that your DH is relaxing while you are at home working hard! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

No Energy Day, & I didn't make it to the gym

I woke up at 7:15am and took my morning medications and went back to bed. I felt real lazy and had almost no energy. Like I didn't even sleep, so went back to bed and woke up after 9am. Still didn't have much energy and with Lupus I decided to take it easy. I did take Phred for a nice walk and did some marketing where I picked up dinner. We had salmon, couscous, salad with King's Hawaiian rolls (1) and a glass of milk. Went over my calorie count today by 3 calories LOL I am not too worried since I have gone over my exercise min. for the week by a lot. Ta Ta for now. I am watching tv and relaxing tonight.

Sort of a slow day

Got up this morning and read most of the paper, then did 2 LS's walking dvd's.
The first one is 3 miles using the walk belt and the 2nd on was her boot-camp dvd using the figure 8 resistance bands. Took a shower, ate lunch, watch OLTL & GH. Took Phred for a nice walk in the cold wind, with the sun coming out occasionally. Came home a did some stuff around the house, got on SP to put in data. Took my son and I out to dinner at Polly's where I had the salmon cake sandwich on whole wheat (no sauce) with tomatoes, cucumbers, onion and spinach with Kona Chips on the side (a type of fat free potato chips that are made fresh at Polly's everyday). I only ate a few of the KC, while Frank finished them off. We also got to have free slice of Blueberry Crisp pie. I had water with dinner. I kept within my calorie count and I am stuffed.
I plan on hitting the gym tomorrow morning. emoticonI need to practice my jogging/running to see if I can break the 2 miles without stopping. I need to do this every other day and soon everyday so I will be ready for the 5K in June.

Cooler day and got to the gym!

Ended up driving to the gym today because the weather really sucked this morning. Highs today were 63 degrees but the wind was so strong and cold that I just decided to drive. Irene decided not to join me and that was Ok. The weather is suppose to be high of 55 tomorrow w/rain at some point and for sure snow in our local mountains. Awesome if I stilled skied

Got a good workout on the treadmill and I can jog now for close to 2 miles without stopping. I did 2.53 miles in 35 min. with 3 min warm-up and 5 min cool down. Never thought I would be able to jog for that period of time again. I use to jog a lot in my late teens to late 20's. Then kids came along and even with keeping busy with them, riding bikes and walks, the weight just seemed to creep up on me. Of course, having Lupus and taking Prenidsone for most of the last 26 yrs. wasn't much of a help either. Came home and did a few choirs, ate lunch and watched OLTO & GH (I showered at the gym to save time, one of the reasons I drove).

Took Phred out for an afternoon walk, he wanted to go until he got outside. Then he didn't like the wind being so strong. It blows his ears up and I think it bugs him when the winds blows into is ears. Why is it? A dog loves to stick their face out the car window but blow at their face (or the wind in their face) and they hate it. LOL

We had salad with penne pasta and no sugar Ragu with biscuits. I had to have yogurt afterwards to get my calorie count up from all the exercise I have been doing. That's about it for today. Hope everyone is doing well too!

    Well done with the jogging! I know all about the nasty winds :( They never seem to stop blowing here and now that all the dirt and snow mold are exposed, our city is one big dust bowl :( My worst allergy time.. But its so sunny and warm, I just have to get out there. For far too long we have been in the dark and cold :( High of 43 today and the guys are already wearing shorts!

My husband returned to Chicago on Tuesday and will be back at the end of 10 days. He will be going back in May and asked me to join him for a few days. He will be working most of the time 10 -12 hours days. I am hoping to meet some Spark People members I may have who near the area?? I am planning on flying in on the 19th and will wait and come home with my husband on the 26th. I have never been to the city of Chicago, but did have a layover at O'Hara for 5 hrs. many years ago. My sister may fly in from NY for a couple of days and I am hoping to meet up with an old roommate of mine who lives about 10 miles outside of downtown. I just hope to be able to keep myself busy and want to see some of the sites.
The last two days the weather has been mild, this morning was very cloudy and stayed that way most of the day until around 2:30pm. The weatherman predicts rain and snow in our local mountains (3,500 ft. level) by the weekend. I was sure spring had sprung after our real hot weather last week, but I guess S.CA isn't done with all the weird weather we have been having for the last year or so.
Doing lots of exercise and keeping within my goals. Not losing any weight but I do feel great, so not complaining too much. Anyways hope everyone had a great day, got in their exercise min. and stayed within their food limits. Remember to drink your water too! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    You are doing very well, just keep on going. I "think" our spring FINALLY arrived...we are at least reaching almost 60degrees...but now it seems like it doesnt want to stop raining. Hope you are having a great day today
