Strange weather and rainbows

Yesterday I took the day off because last Wednesday I learned my aunt had passed away from her long battle with breast cancer. I didn't blog or do much onsite on Wed. evening and really not too much yesterday. Last night I took my dog Phred for a walk and we were having some strange weather, it was very sunny and bright to the west and to the south east it was cloudy, dark skies. Most of the clouds look strange and have pink and purple colors showing through them. I also saw a beautiful rainbow (which I believe my Aunt sent to me, to let me know she is find, happy and out of pain now), I felt better immediately. Maybe it was the walking but I am going to believe it came from her.

This morning got up early and took Phred for a 62 min. walk and within 15-20 min. of getting home the weather got really bad. We had thunder, lighting and rain?? Was almost like I was living in the mid west instead of S.CA. I was glad it waited until we got home because Phred got really scared and nervous.
After I ate breakfast, took a shower I ran some errands and got back home around 12:45pm. Took a break this afternoon because it got really hot today, over 90. Just baking. I plan on taking Phred out again after dinner but just taking it a bit easy today. I also plan on doing another blog with just pictures from last weekend when I went to the museum with my son, Frank. I got up at 6:30am this morning in order to walk Phred while it was still somewhat cool outside. We left the house at 7:02 and the walk was 3.33 miles and took 58 min. We did a great time! I also did a LS indoor walking dvd for 5 miles, did some cleaning and took Phred for a shorter walk this evening.

Still pretty warm outside but a tropical storm has made its way up from Mexico, so it a lot cooler now than it was at this time last night. We even have a nice breeze. Will it rain?? ABC's Dallas Raines, did not think so, but who believes the weather men anymore.

Talked to Irene tonight just to see when she has some days off and to tell about a possible job for Debbie during Xmas season. She is off for four days Friday - Monday so most likely we will get together to do something during that time period.

Next week I may go down towards San Diego and visit at my sister's home before her and Fred lose it. She has been unemployed for over 2 yrs., they lost one house already. I feel so bad for her and I keep hoping something comes up for her. I also told her about a job she may qualify for here in OC in Irvine. This bank is hiring a lot of people and she has worked in the banking industry for years and years. We can only hope that something comes her way b/4 her unemployment runs out next month. Things are still very bad here for people looking for jobs.

Another Hot Day in the Southland.

Well, it was 102 degrees today and it is currently at 7:30pm 95 degrees. It was hotter at the Long Beach than here today, they were at 109, right at the beach. Go figure that out. Jeff worked in Newport Beach on the docks today and just about died. Came home and crashed on the couch for about 1 1/2 hours. I walked Phred about 6:3pm and it was still 95 degrees.
I did a lot of housework today for 2 1/2 hours straight, did my 30 twister workout and Phreds walk. Off to take a shower and waiting for "House" to come on at 8pm.
Ya all have a nice night. My Cali friends keep cool and drink lost of H2O.

It's 70 here right now, at 11:30 pm. But, our heat has just broke. I enjoyed the heat, for I am so cold natured I'm sure I'm going to be a popsicle any day, during the winter. I mean I'm cold to the point I don't wear shorts, I wear jackets all summer, keep a coat in the car to take in ac'd restaurants, and still feel cold. But, actually I was pretty comfortable today. Really hot today!

Currently it is 8pm and 90 degrees and we are looking at 101 Monday & 95 on Tuesday. They call this "Indian" summer. Where was our summer during the summer. Now we get hot weather, so strange. Yes, it is. La Nina, they say instead of El Nino.
Poor husband is working tomorrow at Newport Beach, he is an IBEW electrician and his company did all the electrical for the yatch show. He will suffer being in the heat all day long on the docks, pulling heavy cable and the sun reflecting off the water. He will be very tired and hot when he gets home tomorrow. Oh yeah forgot crouchy too.
Did the normal Sunday routine, marketing but early b/4 10am, never walked Phred today, just too hot. Will have to get early early tomorrow if we are gonna beat the heat. Read the Sunday paper, did LS dvd 4 fast miles plus my twister machine for 30 min.
Jeff went over to our friend George's, the architech, and came home with 5 plans to the redo to choose from. We all picked the same one and I think the new kitchen, living, laundry area and extended bathroom with be marvelous. I will be posting the b/4 pics soon and then after we are done, so you all can see what our hard work has done to the house.

Hi Looks like you had a good Sunday. Did good with your exercise routine too. I went to the gym today and got about 1hour and 20 minutes of cardio in. Also did some strength training and some swimming. I topped it off with going in the Jacuzzi for about 15 minutes. It felt great !! Good luck with the home improvement work.Hope it turns out great.
