Got up late and headed over to Walmart. I rarely shop there but they just reopened the local one and put in a full service store and sent out $5 gift cards to everyone so I headed over there. I started to look around and purchased some banana's and a couple of Lean Cuisine meals, then headed over to the fresh meat area. Saw the price for Pork Ribs was $1.78 a pound and decided to buy some. But wait, the label say $2.27 a pound Mmmmm? I find the meat manager who says "Yes it should be $1.78 a pound", removes the other 3 packages of meat and the price sign and tells me to tell the cashier to take $2.50 off the price that is on label.
Of course this doesn't happen as easily as it sounds. Standing at the register close to 15 mins. to get a price check. I keep telling the person to call "Larry in the meat dept.", after several times of telling her, she looks at me at say "Who is Larry". The person who was in line behind looks at me and says "It isn't that you haven't told her 5 times already." I apologized to her and she takes her stuff off of the belt and wishes me luck. We both laugh.
Finally one of the manager's comes up and tells the lady that each dept. now has a manager and she needs to talk to Larry in the meat dept. I tell her I have told her that a few times already. The manager just looks at the lady and says to her just give her the ribs for $7.50. Why? Because neither one of them can subtract the $2.50 in their heads from the price that is listed on the meat, which is something like $10.53. (Mmmm $8.03). I know this because they both look at the price for about a min. trying to figure out what it would be if you subtract that amount. I am just about to tell them when the manager says "Give it to her for $7.50". I say nothing, just smile and thank them both, pay my bill and come home. I once again decided I will not be shopping in a Walmart anytime too soon. Who hires these people??
Later in the day Jeff and I went window pricing yet again. Found a pretty good deal at an independent place and will most likely go with this place. New windows are really pricey.
Good night all.

Waited so long for our warm weather to hit. So it goes from the mid 70's to the upper 90's in 24 hrs. Woo sure was a warm one today. Got up this morning and planned on hitting the market by 9:30am but my sister, Linda called from NY. I ended up talking to her for around an hour. I went to the market and by the time I got home it was after 11:30am and so frigging warm, but a bit humid. I ate lunch and decided I wasn't going to the gym in my car in this heat. I have an older corvette, 1981 that is black, so it does get pretty hot in that baby.
Cut coupons out and went through them to get a batch ready to send to my Samra/Sambo in OK. I ended up spending about $60 at Stater Bros and didn't feel like I got anything. I picked up ribs for dinner tonight, London Broil was on sale so picked up a package and also got 3# of hamburger on sale. I figure that is where the money went for meat.
Did a LS dvd today, 5 miles with 5# weights, the walkbelt and resistance band. Took Phred for a walk after 7pm when it had cooled off some. Talked to my Aunt Rosanne this evening, which was nice since I hadn't spoken to her for a while. We email a lot. I am hopping to meet up with her for lunch in the next couple of weeks and maybe go with her to visit her sister, Janet (Blessed1953 on Sparks). I hope this all goes as planned because I would really like to see both of them. I haven't seen Rosanne in over 15 yrs. and the last time I saw Janet was just a little over 2 yrs ago.
