Still not a lot of energy but did a lot.

Saturday, August 14, 2010

Got up this morning and it was already warm so decided to eat breakfast and start the house cleaning. Got the vacuuming done, the mopping, 2 loads of laundry, the kingsize waterbed stripped and new sheets put on, and one bathroom. Will do the other bathroom tomorrow after my walk in the morning with Irene. I am going to bed by 10pm because she is picking me up at 7:15am.

I was done with the housework a few mins. after noon, so ate some lunch and watch some soaps. I really have to get out of this habit again. After that I did TBL Bootcamp w/Bob for 30 mins. of circuit training and then 63 mins 5 mile walk dvd with LS. We had mexican tonight I went over my cal count by 30 points or something like that. No biggy.

I took Phred on a short evening walk, poor thing 1 little dog tried to attack him, even grabbing him by the neck. Then another little back dog tried to cause problems too. Why people can't keep their dogs in the house, backyard or at least on a leash when in the front yard without them is beyond me. The little black almost got ran over by a car, this after I even ask the person in the yard, if the dog was theirs. Just ignored me and I knew it was his.

Otherwise it was a great Friday the 13th. emoticon

You get more done in a slow day than I do in a busy day - wow. I don't have dogs - I am more of a cat person - but it would be nice if everyone was considerate with their pets.

No energy day today.

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Got up and just still felt like I hadn't gotten any sleep. I have been sleeping in until 8 or 9 in the morning. Talked to Irene (she is in Palm Springs) to see if she was going to be back tomorrow to go maybe go bowling. We have decided to do a river walk on Sat. morning. This works out well for me because Jeff is working for 4 hrs in the morning and in the afternoon at 3pm we have an appointment with DirectBuy.

Headed over to CVS to pick up shampoo and prescription & Costco, really wanted to get some Trout. Once again they didn't have any so I asked the meat guy what was up with that. He said they hadn't been getting in, when they order it the last couple of months. No kidding, I have noticed. He said they should start getting it again after Sept. Did pick up some salmon and other things I needed. Got back just after 12 noon.

Put everything away and ate some lunch while watching my soaps. Was so tired I almost feel asleep. I went over to Kmart just after 3pm to return one of the bra's I purchased the other day because it didn't fit correctly. I ended up buy another one plus undies and a cute little summer dress on sale for $4.99.

Got home and started dinner. We had whole roasted chicken with no salt canned corn, home made mashed potatoes and cantaloupe. Yummy! That chicken turned out so good! Took Phred for a 1.49 mile walk after dinner, so got a little exercise in but I figure all the walking around Costco and Kmart have to count for something.

Checking out cabinets

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Got up this morning and took Phred on a 3+ mile walk. Was getting ready to head to the market when Jeff asked me to run over to Santa Ana with him to check out this discount cabinet place our friend George the architect recommended.

We got there and did notice that the prices were almost 2-3 times cheaper than Home Depots or Loews that are here in the Anaheim area. I could get some really nice cabinets for the new kitchen with the self closing drawers and other bells and whistles and still have room to a nice front door (from the same place) and appliances. After we left there Jeff wanted to stop at the Home Depot in Santa Ana and guess what the prices were cheaper there then at the one in Anaheim or in Anaheim Hills. No big surprise there. Just shows how much they jump the price up depending on the area. So now we have more options.

We stopped at the market on the way home to get just a few items for dinner and pepsi for Jeff and Frank. Decided I have enough fruits and veggies so I am going to go to Costco tomorrow because we need TP and some other stuff.

Did a LS dvd , some strength exercises from Prevention Mag. and walked Phred for a short one after dinner. Going to bed soon

If you go with Home depot, get the order written up, go to the contractors desk and ask them to send them off to the BID room for you. They will discount the price out. They will do this on any purchase over 2000 (2500) dollars.
Also if you have a military ID card, they will then take off an xtra 10 percent on the purchase.

Home depot also is offering the new Martha Stewart Colleection on Sept 1 and lots of variety and prices there.

Felt tired today, got haircut, ran some errands.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Got up this morning and felt tired again. I am still having trouble getting up in the morning. Wish it would warm up so the light would shine in my room and wake me. With all of this overcast the body does not want to wake up.

I did laundry today and took Phred for a 21 min. walk this morning. Came home and then went out to get a haircut. I like the cut but not this picture because I have no makeup on and I had to take it myself. So here is it.
this is a picture of my new glasses. They are hugh because I had my prescription lenses put into sunglass frame. This is to protect my eyes from the sun.

I also wanted to put a couple of pictures here from last Thursday hike that I took.

I put the purple flower on here twice by mistake. Sorry.
Here is another one from the hike, it shows a red lizard that lives in the water.

Sun came out earlier today. Movie Day.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

The sun came out about an hour earlier today than yesterday. The weatherman keeps talking about it warming up, but we shall see. Took Phred for an AM & PM walk and also did an LS dvd: Advanced 5 miles with 5# weights, walkbelt and resistance band.

We took a break this afternoon and finally watched an old movie we purchased a while back, "Cat Ballou" with Jane Fonda and Lee Marvin. Her love interest looked so familiar and afterwards I looked up the guy and realize he had played on one of my favs soaps in the mid eightys (OLTL).

Made grilled salmon with healthy whole grain rice, mixed veggies, peaches and honey biscuits. All turned out great!
