Yesterday started out pretty normal. I got up and went over to KMart and then to Ralphs Supermarket. Came home to see my husband had left a message on the house phone, the man did not even try my cell. What is with that? Anyway I put all the stuff I had purchase and ate some lunch and he called back b/4 I could return his call.
He has been working this week over at the Anaheim Convention Center setting up for the All Star Game 2010 Fun Fest, which started yesterday and goes until Monday. Anyway his boss has 2 free passes for our son and I. We were able to get over there around 1:30pm.
My son had a blast taking a lot of pictures. There were a lot of older player that were signing autographs. The one person I wanted to get we didn't even try because the line was so long I would have been standing there for about 1 1/2 hrs. The player was Steve Garvey and I use to go to about 25 Dodger games a year back in the mid 70's when he was their catcher. I was so jazzed to be able to see him until my son said "Who is that?". I made him take this picture because he is over 6 ft. tall and could take this picture a lot easier that I could. It did make me feel old that he didn't know who he was. I explained about him being a great catcher and that I had been at the game that almost cost him his career with a bad injury to his neck from a stray foul ball hitting him. I also said he was the one who came up with the neck protector thing that most, if not all catchers now wear on their masks.
My son took a lot of photos of some pretty neat stuff. I am going to pick a few and just put them on here. Although the first one is my son sitting in a new corvette and the other is me sitting in the same car.
The above picture my son took and had no idea that my husband Jeff and I were standing right behind. He is on call for "emergency electrical fixes", while he was walking around with
us for a little while. I was dressed in my Angles t-shirt from 2008 play off games. He worked all day yesterday until 9pm and for the next 3 or 4 evenings he will be working from 4:30pm till 9pm.
3-D artwork of Angle Stadium, the cost was over $3000. Way too rich for my blood.
Son took this picture of my husband standing next to "The Big Foot" truck. My husband is 6'4" so you can really tell just how big this thing is.
Here is an injured Mickey. They put 25 different Mickey's in and around the LA/OC area and I think 5 of them got damaged by vandals. So they bandaged this one up like he had hurt his arm. I get so mad that someone had to ruin these things, so not everyone got to enjoy them undamaged.
After we came home I took the dog out for a walk and then did a LS dvd "5 mile walk".
So got my exercise in and I did not even figure all the walking around for almost 4 hours.
Today got up a little late and knew I was going to be making dinner to eat about 2:30pm. I made baby back ribs, baked potatoes and salad. Jeff took some leftovers to work with him.
Than I did all the housework that I should have done yesterday, dusting, both bathrooms, tub, toilets, counters, mirrors, vacuuming the whole house and mopping the house, which in our house means everything but the hallway and 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Took Phred for a walk this morning and a short one this evening. Now I am going to go take a shower so I can watch Scoundrels and The Gates tonight.
