Back from Missoula. It was a good week, very productive. But my gut did not like eating out and drinking all week. Oh well. I'm back to my shakes today so my body will get back to normal.

Didn't go to crossfit this morning - I got in around 8 last night and was not going to push myself to get up after several days of long nights.

Did everyone have a great Easter? I did, but we had a cow that ruptured her abdominal wall. The tendon that holds up her stomaches (cows have 4) snapped while she was calving. Usually this means the calf and cow both die. We pulled the calf and the cow lived, too. But, since she can't have another calf, we'll just fatten her up for butcher.

    Welcome back! Easter was good, relaxing and fun. Was out at the gun club doing our Range attendant shifts, so that is done for the year. Good thing that the cow and calf were saved and someone was around when it happened.

Because I am running a fever, have a sore throat and am exausted. I think I could have powered though a workout but I don't want to get everyone else sick since we all use the same weights and stuff.

I am still going home for Easter. I may end up laying down all weekend, but I AM GOING HOME.

I'll be in an out for a week or so due to traveling. I plan on checking in but probably won't be writing blogs because I'll be using my phone.

Work trip next week. Ugh.

Next week all of us auditors are going to Missoula for our annual meeting. I'll go to the WY ranch tomorrow afternoon until early Monday morning when I leave for Missoula. Easter means lots of food. Meeting means eating out every day at least twice a day. Both of these mean no crossfit Monday & Wednesday next week.

I'm going to try to eat half-portions all next week since I don't really have the means to bring fruit and milk for my shakes. I'm also hoping to do some of the crossfit workouts with bodyweight exercises.

I didn't do my elliptical this morning and probably won't walk to work (crazy windy outside). Might do some cardio tonight, might not. I've been feeling crazy tired lately.

Getting my hair trimmed today! And hopefully getting a new style of bangs. That depends on if Tanna thinks they will look good or not. Can't wait!

    Hope the hotel has a little fitness center. I think you have a good plan though to keep you on track.

    6 Months til the wedding :) I am at 15 Months TODAY TOOO...

Hopefully the hotel you are staying at will have a fitness room then maybe you can get on an eliptical or maybe it will be nice and you can get a few walks in. I know its easy to say when traveling and harder to do.. I could never do it-but its an option.

Ohh and there are a bunch of HITT workouts on youtube that you can easily do in your hotel room

    You can do it! I've been sucking food wise on this vacation, but I am making sure to get in my exercise. A good thing though is after 6 hours on the beach my son has been asleep for 9 hours!
I'm jealous about the haircut! Take pictures!

The extra spoonful of peanut butter after making a pb&j

If I don't enter it in the counter, it didn't really happen, right? I've caught myself a few times almost eating that extra peanut butter or chips or candy. But the good thing is I CAUGHT myself before it got in my mouth.

That food doesn't disapear just because I didn't write it down! This picture discribes what I need to remember...

    I've caught myself doing the same thing. I always turn around and put it on my list of the day. I find myself then making adjustments for what I need to do to stay on goal for the rest of the day. Sometimes it's a stumble and I try to fix it right away.

Since starting crossfit, my cardio has kind of gone by the wayside. I'm still walking a mile to and from work Monday - Thursday, but that's about it. Tuesday last week I did 20 minutes on the treadmill.

This morning I got up at my crossfit time (4:45am) and hopped on my elliptical. I knocked out 400 calories before I knew it! Crazy how strength training helps you move better/faster cardio-wise! But don't get me wrong...I am tired!

Squat thrusted my max at 75# yesterday morning. Will work on that.

    Sounds like you're doing a great job! I find that if I take a break from cardio, then when I come back I'm more rested and energized than if I do it every day. I try to only do long periods of cardio every other day at the most to make sure I'm getting the most out of it. And way to go with getting up at 4:45 AM!!! I'm sure it took a lot of motivation just to get out of bed!

When I started Body Rocking- all I was doing for Cardio was walking at lunch 2 miles not enough to sweat. and I lost weight so it must have worked_ April I am working on getting in more Cardio!

    emoticonIt sounds like you have a great program to reach your goals! I alternate my cardiovascular and my weight training and sometimes do them together. It just depends on what works for you, but I have found that alternating on different days or doing the two of them together will really rev up your metabolism!
