I am an outdoors girl. I live for the beauty and space my Wyoming outdoors has to offer. For the past few months I have had to live with DVD's, elliptical, stationary bike, treadmill and mall walking.
....BUT....these last few days I have been able to be outside. NO its not spring. It is still 33 with a 24 windchill but the ice has finally melted on the streets making the terrain much safer.
You see, I am a whimp when it comes to ice. Fear of breaking something is a huge deterrent for me.
Now, I am feeling better since Mother Nature gives me strength, peace and tranquilly. Thanks Great Spirit for the last three days. Hope there is more to come this month.

My Birthday Goal was to lose 5% of my body weight. That meant losing 8.75 pounds in 8 weeks. HOORAY FOR ME, I DID IT!
I decided I needed a long term goal of a body weight 35 pounds lighter than I am now. That would be 10 pounds below my ideal weight. I am so tired of losing weight and once reaching a goal gaining it back over the next four months.
I am thinking if I set my goal at under ten pounds, I will keep working at staying healthy, exercising and maybe ,I will not gain it back.

Hard work and determination pays off. Trust me!
Usually the "diet" slog in painful and goes on forever. I am trying to make the commitment to a lifestyle change.
It isn't easy. Trying to get in all my planned workouts, pushing a little harder, eating a little less, and staying away from making excuses everyday is a challenge.
But....the reward......looking back and realizing you are doing it. 40 days have gone by already.....I have lost 12 pounds and inches.....I am feeling better about myself and getting stronger to boot.....is it worth it.....HECK YEA!

The weather in WYoming can test you. For the last two months the snow, ice , and wind have kept me walking/running on a treadmill or in the mall. The repetition of the DVD workouts are a challenge. Yesterday, I was determined to get outside.
Baring a few ice patches, I somehow managed to get a two walk/run in. The temperature was 42 feels like 30, a little sun and some wind but I got my outdoor fix.
Being valentine's day, I somehow managed to eat healthy and only consume four hershey kisses. My plan was two but after reviewing my calorie intake and amount of calories spent on the run, I could afford that luxury.
Funny how when you are really focused, you can make one hershey kiss last as long as a regular candy bar.
Guess I am learning control and moderation. Hope I can keep this up.

I am pleased that I have been good all week, again. Healthy eating, great work outs with lots of variety, a few epsom salt baths and down another 1.5 pounds.
I hope I can keep the streak alive. 5 weeks so far, only one glass of wine, no coffee and a good variety of fruits and veggies.
Making time for myself to do the above has been a challenge, but I keep telling myself I am worth it!
