First, Thank you Mother Nature for giving me 5 days where I can exercise outdoors without ice and freezing to death. I will take wind, high humidity and any temp over 32. I am blessed with the glorious sunshine these last few days.
So, I decide in January to do this thing with a friend called DietBet. You have to put up money and have 4 weeks to lose 4% of you weight. I won the first bet and made 15 dollars plus the 20 I put up. I decided to join a larger group for the second month for $35 dollars. It ended today and I was successful again. I have lost 18 pounds and have been totally motivated to exercise and record my food intake in order to win a little money. I can't believe how money has motivated me to lose this weight, but it makes me feel great.
Someone actually call me skinny this weekend.
So, is this a lifestyle change for me? Will I continue to use money challenge as a way to get my workouts in and eat healthy? Do I go for one more round to assure I don't get lazy and gain this weight back? Now what is my running plan, an ultra instead of a marathon?
In any case, I am enjoying this new found energy, look, and the challenge to stay healthy, I am doing GREAT!
