Hope You Had A Merry Christmas!

Saturday, December 26, 2009

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! Mine was OK..can't complain..busy..rushed..tired..but it was fun being with family and friends. Next week it will be more of the same with the celebration of the New Year. We will also be celebrating my sister's birthday on Dec. 31st. So there will be a lot of extra events going on. All of this has been fun and exciting, but I am really glad that it only comes once a year!!!!! Take care ALL, and keep in touch. Have a HAPPY, HEALTHY, and BLESSED NEW YEAR!

It has been a busy season for us. My birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, New Years... While I love the holidays, I, too, am glad this season only comes once a year. I am way to tired to have it occur more than that! emoticon

Thanks for the wishes, Pam. I worked the night shift, and we brought in our fairly healthy foods. And junk, too.

Happy New Year to you, too! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Yippee! A Few New Polls!

Thursday, December 03, 2009

Yippee! A few new polls have recently been added. Thanks, SparkPeople! I was sure that I had read all of the Health Articles from A-Z, but occasionally I check there anyway just to see if a new one has been added. The last time I checked I found about 6 articles that I had not read. You might want to check there also. I had a list of where the articles were located, but I threw it away once I read the articles. Just in case they are new articles and not articles that I had previously missed, you might want to check there also if you haven't gone through the list lately. Take care ALL, and keep in touch.

There is also a spot on your start page you can click and get points for reading articles you haven't read in the last few months (3? 6?). That has helped me. I'd been scouring the checkmarks on the boards to find new articles. emoticon

I try to find one health article, one poll, and one of the nutrition, fitness, or motivation articles a day. I usually go to the points page and jump from there to the articles. It is the easiest way for me because they are all there together on one page.

Thanksgiving is Behind Us Now...

Monday, November 30, 2009

And it is time to move forward to the Christmas holidays for those who celebrate Christmas. I do, but I find that each year I am doing a little less celebrating. I like it like that though. This year I am going to keep it simple and spend more time reflecting on the 'REAL' meaning of Christmas. Happy Holidays to ALL!

I have been doing the same thing for years now. Still there are parties, etc. but the real reason for the season is in the name CHRISTmas.

We have been winding down since my husband retired several years ago and we have a much more relaxed month and are more focused on the reason for Christmas. You'll love it.

ALL PLAY & NO WORK!

Friday, November 27, 2009

Well...not actually...ALL PLAY & NO WORK, but my work has been greatly reduced since Wednesday and will continue to be reduced through Sunday. Is that a good thing? Well maybe, but what happens with me is I simply do not know what to do when I am not working. Oh, there are a gazillion things that I COULD be doing and they actually need to be done, but I can't get myself motivated to do them. I still have two more days of 'down' time, so hopefully I will get the 'uumph' that I need to get started on some of these backlogged things. It always feels great to not have things piled up and waiting for me...however, that seems to be the way that I function now. Wish me luck that I can 'GET GOING" tomorrow. Take care all and keep in touch.

We all need time to play. I am afraid I love to play, so it is good that I live alone, so I can do what I want.
