Ah, Today! Our high is in the 70's! It is very hard to believe that last Tuesday, we were snowed/iced in, and although I didn't know it then, I would remain in that 'state' until late Thursday afternoon. Our street would have been perfect for ice skating or sledding. Today, all sunshine and warmth. How AWESOME is THAT?
I am blogging early because I may not get a chance to get back on here again until much later this evening. I have two more classes and a visit to Shelby, plus stop at the grocery store. In addition, my son is out of school this week for Spring Break, and he has been showing up rather late with movies that he wants me to watch with him. They are 'his' type of movies, and not really my type, but I do it for the 'together' time. He is 29, and I appreciate that he still even wants to spend time with me. So, I watch the movies.
I am out of here for now. I hope your weather is cooperating as well as mine has been doing for the past few days. Someone did mention earlier today that tomorrow all of this nice weather will change. I hope they are wrong!
HUGS to ALL, and THANK YOU for your continued support! You are ALL the GREATEST!

Back to 'business as usual' today, and I was so glad to be back into my routine. It all went well, and by the large number of participants in each of the classes, I could tell they were glad to be back also. We are still having the nice weather that began here on Friday. Last Monday, we were all snowed/iced in and everything was closed. Today it was short sleeve weather, and a lot of the schools are out on Spring Break. My son, the algebra teacher, is one of those out of school. The school district where he teaches was closed last Monday through Wednesday due to the weather, but the schools in this area were closed all week. Their days off for Spring Break are not being reduced due to the time they had off for snow days.
Thank you for all of your well wishes for Shelby. I didn't get to go there today due to my work day beginning at 8:30 AM and not ending until 8:30 PM. I did get a little time off between 3:00 and 4:30 PM, but I had to come home to take care of things here at the house and get ready for my night shift. She will be leaving the Rehab Center on Wednesday, and she will have at home therapy for a month. I hope things go well for her.
Thank you ALL so much for your nice comments.

Two classes and a visit to see Shelby at the Rehab Center. Thank you all for your care and concern about her. She will be leaving to come home on Wednesday. She will have been there almost 6 weeks. She has improved a lot, but she will still have to be careful around her house. Ray is busy getting everything ready for her.
This still won't be a full work week for me because I need to attend an all day workshop on Friday, so I will miss all of those classes. Anyway, that will be OK because it has to be that way, and because I NEVER miss work, so I am due a day off occasionally. I am just sorry that day off comes so close to being off 4 days last week.
Have a GREAT WEEK, All!

It was a good day for me. I had no trouble getting out of the driveway and getting to work. The temperature was in the high 50's or low 60's, so much of the snow and ice melted. We are expecting those same temperatures for the next few days. "THE HILL" is still frozen at the top, but about half way up (or down) it is thawed. I am able to get closer to the house now since I can park about half way up. Less walking up and down "THE HILL" is enough to make me feel a little more cheerful.
Thank you all for responding. Your comments are very much appreciated. I am sort of rushed right now because after the classes, I visited with Shelby at the Rehab Center. She is progressing, and soon to leave the center. Her legs look better with less swelling and the redness has cleared somewhat.
So I am out of here for now. I hope you all have a GREAT WEEKEND! Take care, and keep in touch.

After being SNOW/ICE bound all week, I finally got out today. Oh, I wasn't staying in by choice. I wasn't able to get my truck out of the driveway. The driveway was (is) solid ice, and where I was parked at the bottom of "THE HILL," there was no way that I could get onto the street (that was iced over until today). Seeing that I wasn't going ANYWHERE today unless something changed (I've told myself that every day this week, and NOTHING changed), I decided to take action. I called a wrecker to come, and tow the truck to a tire shop. So now, I have four new tires. My thoughts were the worn and slick tires were prohibiting me from getting out of the driveway.
When I returned, I had to once again park in the driveway at the bottom of "THE HILL" but I am hoping the new tires will let me pull right out of there in the morning. The streets are OK now because the temperature was in the 50's today, but my driveway is still iced over from the bottom to the top. It is not easy walking down "THE HILL" to the truck, but since I've done it about 20 times this week, (each time hoping that would be the time when I could pull out), I sort of have a path carved out of the ice.
This has not been a very good week, but I am hoping these warmer temperatures we are going to have for the next few days will brighten my spirits. I hope your 'Spirits are Bright."
Have a wonderful Friday and a very nice WEEKEND!
