Not Giving Up

I've made it through another week. Not too bad. This time I'm so glad my TOM came at the beginning of the month because it almost always take me out for a couple of days or so and instead of losing I gain. Not this time! I pushed my self through it. I still was unable to work out as much as I usually do but nevertheless I kept it up. I didn't gain. HALELUJAH!!! There's still 3 1/2 weeks to go in March and I plan to take advantage of each day to reach my goal.

I'ts Nice To Be Loser

Woo Hoo!!! I'm back in business. I was very anxious this morning to weigh in because I was hoping that all the effort I put into my workouts this week not only paid off but made up for the previous week I was not feeling too great. The scale didn't let me down this week. I lost 3.5 pounds!!! There is hope after all. I feel like I'm finally getting back to the mindset I once had in order to lose & maintain my weight. Now, my challenge is refraining from distractions that will hinder the process rather than help.

Back on Track

Well, I made it to my second weigh-in and just as I suspected I took back a couple of pounds. This was actually a very tough week for me especially, since that special time of the month hit me and I mean it hit pretty hard. Unfortunately, I spent more time catering to the pains my body was going through which didn't leave much room for eating right and exercising. Thank God that's over (for now). Time to get back into the game and get focused.

I purchased a set of 1-1/2 lb wrist weights and 3lb ankle weights to kick up my cardio and weight training. I tried them out for the first time this morning in addition to using the standard barbells. It was intense but felt great. My husband says I'm a bit extreme with my workouts but you do what ever works right? Once I get on the workout track I can be a little over the top. I feel a very good week coming on.

Let's stay focus out there:).

Staying Motivated

14 days have gone by and this past weekend was by biggest challenge by far. It didn't help that I was in an all day meeting on the 12 from 9am til 4pm. A contiental breakfast was served and CPK lunch was brought in. That wasn' so bad, I tried to eat more salad than pizza. To top the day off the the group had dinner at Tommy Bahama @ Fashion Island. I never been there before but soon discovered that the menu was not designed for watching calories in the least. Well, my wonderful husband keeps reminding me that I'm in this for the long haul and that there will be occassional days like this so I'm to lighten up and just breath once in a while. I look forward to getting back on track. I've held off on jumping on the scale unitl Friday my weigh in day to see how much damage or how much recovery was made.

    Hey girl, you're husband's right! I had to eat birthday cake last week! lol Its great that he cares so much about you, to remind you! My dh would just watch me eat with an evil eye! Yigh yigh yigh.

It looks like you're determined and ready to rock and roll. Keep your eye on the prize! Its tons of work, but sooo soo worth it! Think of how good you feel!

  Don't be so hard on yourself! There ARE going to be days like that, but the important thing to remember is that tomorrow is a New Day. Keep on exercising, get back on track and drink lots of water. As long as you keep coming back here, you'll be all right!
