I do really really need someone to urge me to participate..I hope this is the thing..I do know that left on my own I gravitate to the ice cream shoppe..i LOVE the hi fat,chunky ice cream...I will go to the store today and buy some low fat ice cream. I know that I do not do well with total deprivation..so let's see what happens..more later..Judy emoticon

    Judy, you can do it!! At least you've realized your weakness and you've found a healthier way to satisfy that sweet tooth. By the way, I have one too. Have faith in yourself and you can achieve your heart's desire. It's not going to be easy, but don't give up.

I am hoping to use my total gym. gathering dust on my patio...take the first step..this week take the cover off and dust out the spiders...get on..and do 1 minute of something. emoticon

The biggest obstacle for me is eating after I have eaten ..but don't feel full. It is that time when I should wait. I also think Ben and Jerry are my good friends from Vermont..hahah. They must be controlled.

I have not exercised for years..(30)..so I have to keep at it. I am planning to DO the exercises on the BLC, even if they are too difficult..I will adjust them.

I will find foods that I can snack on that are not cheese or nuts.

Yup, just read last year's blog..my one and only..and I could just repaste it on today's date...sigh. OK..I must be a little more firm with myself..if I had done this last year, I would be thin...hmmm..I wonder if this backward, (or is it forward) thinking is a new outlook..stay tuned..

    Don't hang on to yesterday's failures to achieve. Every day is a new start, a fresh chance to get it right. Focus not on the end of the journey but on today and with repeating that often enough (one day at a time) you'll wake up one day to find you've reached your goals. I KNOW you can do it. OK, this blog is just to keep track of trying to get more of a handle on how I follow any plan..not well is my usual way...I HATE following anything..bring an extra 10 people for dinner, I can handle that, someone with an emergency can count on me...but plan to pay bills, plan meals..ugh!!!
Now what I have been doing since June 2009, is trying to make little changes. 1. TRY TO WRITE DOWN WHAT I EAT 2. EXERCISE AT THE Y 2X A WEEK 3. SUB A SMALLER VERSION OF MY ICE CREAM 4. MAKE MORE FRIENDS IN MY NEW HOME STATE (CA). I'm doing ok on 1. I have written in spurts..but getting better. 2. is excellent..I have gone up to 2x a week for a weight machine class, walking one day and biking or walking another day. 3. Dreyers French Silk Ice Cream mmmm. I now try to cut down each day and have a sugar free rice pudding, or jello in place of 1/2 the IC. 4. This is fabulous. I have become an Adam Lambert fan, have joined a fan club, travelled to LA for concerts, made at least 10 new friends..locally I have joined a garden club and a book club!!!
