Joined the YWCA

Taking this in small steps. Just got back from the Y in the next town over and I paid for membership for the next 12 months. This is a healthy, happy, place and I'm looking forward to it ------except I'm scared! I will see the Wellness Director tomorrow or Monday to discuss some time with a personal trainer and/or classes that would be good. I know I'll feel better and I'm looking forward to that.

    emoticon I was a little scared when I first joined a gym too. It's a good idea to meet with the director and/or a trainer just to explore all the options and get recommendations. I'm sure you'll met some great people there.

    Well done! You are so right that the Y is a happy healthy place. :) I hope you enjoy your membership and meet some nice people there! Knowing that I'll see friendly, familiar faces at my fitness classes is definitely a motivator for me, and I hope it is for you too. I'm sure you'll learn more at your meeting.

I Called the YWCA

Its like pulling teeth for me! *But* I called the Y and will go see it tomorrow. If all is well, I'll join and hope for an orientation on Friday. They have many classes and the atmosphere I know is healthy. I need to support and will consider a personal trainer. These last few days on SP have left me feeling so good. I'm tracking every bite, using the Coaching, listening to the SparkRadio, cooking well, and reading/joining community. Thanks everyone. So many 100+ pound losers. I will be one, too.

Today I am logging food -- I've done that before. I've also had periods of working out...but I haven't stuck to it. this time, I'm logging food, starting this page, engaging in the spark community, and trying out sparkcoach and spark radio. Time to follow the path. I listened to Pamela Peeke today -- very good information. I want to heal! emoticon

    Logging every bite or sip that goes in your mouth is a great way to begin. If you stick with that, AND interact with a group(s) here, you will have the key to success. Truly!
