Almost forgot breakfast again, grabed some fruit as I was heading out the door for work so atleast I ate something.

Did pretty good yesterday did my workout, when it was dinner time I had soup and 2 cups of cooked veg, later when I was getting the snack craving I had another meal instead so I had 3 meals yesterday instead of 2 and snack attack.

So todays goal is to have 3 meals at proper times and proper portions.

Thank GAB for leaving a comment of yesterdays blog. I plan on using your advice.

Yesterday I was down in the dumps, today a little better.

When I got home yesterday, I did 1/2 hour workout, I over ate at dinner again and then of course I was snacking in the evening.

I'm not eating breakfast and I really have to start doing that, because i think my heavy snacking is because i've only eaten 2 meals and instead of making a 3rd meal in the evening I snack and snack, it would also explain why I'm so hungry at dinner time.

I do have my lunch portions under control at work, I have 1 cup soup, or 2 cups salad, or 1 sandwich.

My first food goal is going to be add breakfast, second, portion all meals, third, improve bad snacking habits.

Workout 5 days instead of 7, 30 minutes or more depending on how I'm feeling after the first 30 minutes.

This may seem pretty relaxed, but I have to get the control first.

It sounds like you've got a good plan in motion, but do take it one step at a time. Just think about The Tortoise and The Hare. You can win the race if you stay focused and take slow, steady steps to get there.

Frustration, i can not stay focused and it is causing me to yo-yo.

I take steps to get my body in check, under control, what ever you want to call it, I quit smoking 1 month, 3 weeks, and 2 days ago, I still want a smoke now and then but I just won't do it, i've come to far to slip up now.

So I have changed my focus to food and fitness, for about 2 weeks i'm good with doing exercise daily for 1 hour i enjoy doing the workouts I love the feeling of getting stronger but then I miss a day, and stop I get frustrated that I'm not sticking to my program and it takes me about a week to get back at, the same with food I can eat healthy but if I slip up even once I give up and again it takes time to get back at it.

I do understand this is the all or nothing thinking, but I haven't been able to reprogram my thinking and stick with it.

I get so excited when I lose weight, but if the scale doesn't move or worse yet it goes up, I just get so upset with myself and then the negitive thinking starts i'm just gonna be fat forever.

i know what i gotta do, i know how to do, i just gotta figure out how to change my thinking so i will stick to it.

Congrats on your weight loss, 55lbs that is super wow!!!!!!!

Thank you!
Portions is exactly what I was thinking, I have to do to get control of with my eating, and I like the day or 2 off idea, for the workouts too, if I make it part of my program then maybe I won't feel like I'm cheating and or failing.

I have to get rid of this all or nothing thinking, and this my be my first little step.

Thank you again

It does sound like you know what you need to do. Firstly though congrats on quitting smoking that is great! Secondly, don't be so hard on yourself! I know a lot of times that is easier said than done but it really is important. Keep in mind that throwing yourself head first into a rigorous training program and restrictive diet is only going to make you rebel and get frustrated. Why not try a program that is 4 or 5 days a week instead? This would give you 2 rest days that you can make floating to give you flexibility and so that when you are sore/tired/etc. you can take the day and relax. Same with the eating, if you switch from nice hearty meals to eating salad it won't stick. Try modifying some of your favorite dishes with low cal/low fat substitutions or even just portion things out. These were the things that worked for me and even with all my good work the scale sometimes wouldn't be nice but I stuck with it and lost 55lbs. I am sure you will find what works best for you - Good luck!! :)
