You'd be mad to put DDT or hydrochloric acid in your morning coffee, wouldn't you?
But that's exactly what millions of people are doing every day without even knowing it...
Sucralose – sold under the brand name Splenda and its new 'healthier' version Splenda Essentials - is advertised as a healthy alternative to sugar and as an aid to dieting.
Splenda Essentials even goes one step further in trying to broaden its appeal to the health-conscious consumer by trumpeting the fact that its various formulations contain B vitamins, antioxidants (vitamins C & E), or fibre.
But, in reality, sucralose is simply sugar laced with chlorine, described by one medic as 'Nature's Doberman attack dog – a highly excitable, ferocious element contained in bleach, disinfectants, pesticides, WW1 poison gas and hydrochloric acid.' Common chlorocarbons include DDT, a chemical so harmful that it's now banned for agricultural use the world over.
Splenda's current list of adverse side effects includes headaches and migraines, skin rashes, panic attacks, dizziness, diarrhoea, intestinal cramps and bladder problems.
But researchers have also warned that the high solvency of chlorocarbons like Splenda also attacks the central nervous system, impairs the immune system and causes liver damage.
If you've never bought Splenda, then you're probably heaving a huge sigh of relief right at this moment...
But not so fast!
What you probably don't know is that sucralose is used in over 4,000 products as an alternative sweetener - and there's a good chance that you could be consuming it daily without even realising!
The truth is that sucralose is just one of thousands of other 'toxic terrors' that you encounter every day and that have been poisoning you in slow-motion every single day for pretty much your whole life long – in your home, your workplace, and in the products you use.
But the big problem is that in most cases you don't even know that you're being poisoned by them! ...

Missing Our Old Habits
by Madisyn Taylor
Sometimes when we break a habit or addiction we find ourselves missing it like a dear friend.
Whenever we make the effort to free ourselves of an addiction or a habit we no longer need, we are often surprised to find ourselves missing the old pattern as we would a familiar friend. This sounds counterintuitive, because we think we should instinctively gravitate toward that which is good for us. And yet, it makes a lot of sense when you consider that we humans are creatures of habit. This is why we gravitate to people and places—and patterns of behavior--that make us feel comfortable. Therefore, many of the habits we form are not conscious and are based instead on learned behavior from role models who were not always making the healthiest decisions.
Most addictions begin as a way of avoiding feelings that are extremely uncomfortable, so it makes sense that stopping the addiction means, for a time, a fair amount of discomfort. The same, of course, is true of habits that we have developed over time that we are ready to release. Just knowing that this is hard, and having compassion for ourselves as we work through this process, can help us to stay the course when we feel the urge to backtrack. It’s also helpful to remember that in time we will establish new, healthier patterns, and the yearning for the old ones will disappear. Eventually, we will instinctively reach for things that are good for us, and the longing for positive change may form the basis of a new habit.
The only way to get to this new place is to endure a time of difficulty, which is a challenge we can confidently handle, if we remember that it will lead to the change we seek in our lives. Our bodies, hearts, and minds always need time to adjust to a new way of doing things, but they will adapt, and even become our allies, if we remain true to our vision of a new way.

The Ripple Effect of Health and Happiness
By Mike Kinnaird
Have you ever been in a really great mood and then someone comes home in a very bad mood and brings the whole house down?
Our moods can be changed instantly by another…
Have you ever passed someone scary-looking in the street and suddenly your whole insides tense up? Your mood can change to FEAR in an instant because of another.
Everything affects everything else
The truth is that everything affects everything else. Your lifestyle and your habits affect your biochemistry, your mood, your health and your future. And your lifestyle also affects what OTHERS around you FEEL…
If you’re feeling fantastic, believe me, everyone around you will benefit.
Not only will you be spreading your love around, but you will be a shining example too.
People will notice you have energy to spare, love to give, always a smile on your face and they will start taking notice. They will want to know you, what you do and how you do it.
And these ripples will go around the whole world.
Good and bad ripples
For good or bad they go. We all know how a serious illness in the family can affect everyone for a very long time. It matters. It all matters a great deal.
What we are is largely the result of every single interaction we ever had and how that affected us. Even ONE small interaction can affect us deeply our whole lives — say an uncommon act of kindness that touches us very deeply.
We are individuals but we really act as ONE whole dynamic.
Would war even be possible if everyone was happy? Think about that for a little moment — would it?
If one can be happy… EVERY-one can be happy
And if one person can become happy then the whole world can become happy. And the happier we get, the happier we’ll get because everything affects everything else and everyone affects EVERY other ONE.
“No man is an island” as they say.
So it’s NOT JUST YOU who will benefit when you get happy and healthy. Your loved ones will feel the immediate force of good from you and the ripples will go on and on...
...Imagine wonderfully happy parents raising three wonderfully happy kids. What is likely for THEIR kids? And theirs? And theirs? And what is the effect on everyone who comes into contact with this happy family?
Think deeply about the ripples and you’ll see it’s true.
