My 2 Yr Old Workout Buddy and Coach

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Ok, so my funny kid story of the week...

On Sunday, I went to our local sporting goods store to look for a Balance Ball (medicine ball, yoga ball, etc.) I decided my abs need more of a workout than I have been doing and I hate getting on the floor completely. So I got one with a DVD workout too. I took it home, inflated the ball and while cleaning in my daughter's room, sat on it a while to get used to it. I also put the DVD on in her room to see if I thought I could handle the workout before I started it.

So, for those that have followed my little Sydnee's workout stories, you know what a little copycat I have. Everyone else... Sydnee is 2, and she is very clever at picking up skills. While I work out with EA Active, she does all the motions with me. When I run for the program, she runs all over the house too, all the while telling everyone in the house to "Wun, Wun!" It is a darling sight to behold.

Ok, so back to the story, so I am in her room, just sitting on the ball and randomly watching the DVD while picking up her floor, so I can eventually workout in there. Next thing I notice is her leaning backwards over two pillows and following the motions on the DVD. It is the funniest thing to watch. She is stretching, reaching, leaning, squatting, everything. That was Sunday night. I eventually did the workout by the way, but without an audience.

So Monday night, I get the ball from her room and put it in the living room to sit on and practice on while watching TV with her. I tried doing push-ups on it, like the DVD had showed the night before. And 2 seconds later, Sydnee has the smallest foot stool in the living room parked right next to me and is laying on her tummy on it and leaning forward on her arms doing push-ups. It was all I could do not to fall off the ball laughing at her. She is just the funniest thing ever! After we did those, I tried doing squats with it and while doing those, she stood beside me and held my torso and shoulder like she was spotting me. It was just so sweet! I can hardly tell the story without crying for the sweetness of the memory!!!

So last night I go home and go to do the SparkPeople 5 Min Ab Workout with Ball and I started it, but soon realized that I really need to change shoes and clothes. So I paused the workout and went to my room to do that. She comes running after me fussing all the way and pointing back to her room. So after I change, I grab socks and shoes and follow her back to her room. She walks up to the ball, points and pats it and starts indicating I am to sit down on it NOW! And then walks over to my laptop and unpauses the video (did I mention she just turned 2) and indicates again that I am not done and that I need to get back to work. So not only do I have a work out buddy, I now have my own personal drill sergeant. Gotta love kids!

Month 6 Sensa / EA Active 30 Day Challenge (Take 2)

Monday, July 06, 2009

So tonight I started my second round of EA Active's 30 Day Challenge. I didn't lose much weight the first time, so I am hoping to strike a better balance with weight and inches lost this time. I am starting my 6 month of using my secret weapon (that I share with anyone interested) Sensa. So far I have lost 32.5 lbs using Sensa and recently adding EA Active. I have lost a grand total of 35 lbs for the year!

So for everyone's review...
Month 1 Sensa = 7.5 lbs lost
Month 2 Sensa = 6.5 lbs lost
Month 3 Sensa = 6.5 lbs lost
Month 4 Sensa = 9.5 lbs lost
Month 5 Sensa/EA Active = 2.5 lbs lost & 12.25 inches

That is 32.5 lbs lost with Sensa's help, because had I not lost the first 30 lbs without exercise, I probably wouldn't have been able to make it to the point I was ready to exercise, which is now. And I am already ahead of the average weight loss with Sensa in 6 Months, so that makes life even better, I am getting more bang for my buck!

I wish everyone a happy July!

Yes Sensa is still working! Sensa Tastants change every 30 days for 6 different monthly combinations. At the end of 6 months, you start again with Month 1 and it is effective again! I am nearing the end of my 2nd 6 month round with Sensa. I have currently lost roughly 65 lbs. And I am hoping to make it at least a round 70 lbs before the end my 2nd round in early Feb. I will then start what I hope will be my last 6 month session to reach my final goal of losing just over 100 lbs! Please stay tuned for more blogs on Sensa. I realize I haven't really posted a lot of updates lately and I need to get back to that so everyone can see how much Sensa has changed my life!

Is Sensa still working after soo long? I have noticed that other natural appetite suppresors (gluccomannan, hoodia, etc.) lose effectivity after using them a while. Please let me know...

EA Active 30 Day Challenge Ending Results

Friday, July 03, 2009

Well, last night I finished my last EA Active 30 Day Challenge workout. I must say it was a great month in a lot of ways in terms of my being able to finish something like this. I hadn't been all that active before this, though I had played with the EA Active work outs for about 2 weeks before I started the actual Challenge. Wanted to try all the stuff out a little before starting the Challenge. And I am really glad I did. I did enough to get past the major soreness issues that might have discouraged or delayed me if I had started the Challenge right away.

So, for my results... I lost just over 12 inches and 2.5 lbs over the Challenge period. I didn't lose as much as I wanted, but I know how it goes when you are working out. I lost 1 inch off each arm and thigh and .5 inch from each calf and 1.5 off my waist and small amounts in other general locations. I had already lost a little over 32 lbs when I started the Challenge and really thought I might lose more this month than in prior months, but I know the weight will go in time.

I am taking the weekend off from working out and playing in the pool at my dad's house with my kids. I will still stay within my calorie ranges and such with Sensa to help me. I love my Sensa! I lost my first 30+ lbs with Sensa alone. On Monday, I will start the Challenge again on Medium... though I did try a few medium and hard work outs toward the end. I did the majority of the Challenge on Easy.

So anyway, just thought I would check in. I will take a new "during" picture on Monday and get it posted and we will compare it to the prior to the Challenge.

Have a great 4th everyone and remember the people that provide our freedom don't sit in Washington, DC, they are sitting in barracks while we enjoy a day off with our friends and family! They deserve our utmost respect for their sacrifices!

Hello, well, I read the article. I also read the link that was attached to it. I just got my Sensa shipped today, and I am actually suddenly worried. Everyone in the forum makes it sound so great, but I am worried now that it may not work for me. Did you have that concern when you started?
