Movin' On Up!!!

Monday, June 13, 2011

Crazy Crazy- I now officially live in NH. Can't believe I no longer live in MA. Spent the day cleaning (very unclean previous owners) and now I am at the local library since we don't have internet yet, sigh......

Had a great 1st interview with the hospital of my choice last Thursday and got a call today for another hospital to interview with in MA. Crossing my fingers and toes that I get the job in NH. But at this point I just need a job so I'll take when I can get:^)...

I'm thankful to have some time off between moving and working. I do feel that everything always works out for me, but there is always a "stressful" in between period. I think I'll get the job, but have been stressing because I haven't been getting any calls for 2 months and now I have my top 2 hospitals calling me for interviews - I think i just needed to get this move done with. Now I have time to clean and unpack and it will probably be just in time to start my new job!!!!

Only bummer is I finally live only 2 miles from an amazing beach and we are having rain all week long.... ah well, again, time to get cleaning and unpacking and then maybe the sun will come out. Good things to come!

Just wanted to log in and write since I haven't been on here in a while.

Hi Michelle! I found your profile today by searching for those living within 25 miles of me. How are you doing? I liked reading your posts. Welcome to NH!
I signed up for the Hampton Beach half on 10/2 (smuttynose rockfest) You might want to consider that!

Fell off the boat - Jumping back on!!!

Sunday, June 05, 2011

Ok, Ok, Ok, so I signed up for SP a couple of weeks ago and already fell off the boat! Between moving, job searching, going away for my b-day I just haven't had time to be on here logging in stuff and doing blogs.

So, I'm going to try to get back on the boat (I'm climbing:^) and start fresh today. I am moving in a week, working all week and going for a job interview and maybe shadow for the day one day so not sure how I'll do, but I'll try!

I really want to log my food, as I really do want to take off a few pounds - but it is rather time consuming..... And I cook pretty much everything I eat - which makes it hard, as almost everything is food from a box/package and I always change recipes to be more healthful so I can't just put the nutrition in. Any ideas for this out there?

Off for a 6 mile run and then to move more stuff and clean the new place - oh joy:^). But I am thankful for the weather at least-it is sunny and cool - no humidity - my type of weather!

Have a great day!

Thank you for your blog - it's so realistic, and yet u took a few moments to stay connected. u r being true 2 your priorities, and i got a lot to learn from u, well maybe that's the secret-we all learn from each other!!! (bless u again sparkguy).

For tips: Try to enter all your food variations into "favorites". That creates a list for which you just check off at 1 time everything you want to track for the day. It's a 1 time effort and then it's easy after that. Same for fitness tracking. I'm still getting into it...

Good luck in your new abode!

Glad you're back in the boat!

I don't know if this is the best way to do it, but when I make a recipe, I track it as a grouping in the food tracker. Let's say it has 4 portions, and I freeze part of it. I track each portion as .25 (1/4). I don't know if that makes sense, but using the groupings is a way to make tracking easier. I use it a lot. For example, I often have the same breakfast, so I made a grouping called "Breakfast", and I can track my breakfast with one click when I have that particular breakfast.

Hope all goes well with your move! emoticon

Packing & Applying!!!

Wednesday, June 01, 2011

Great weekend with my family - spent time with my almost 4 year old nephew, OMG he is SO SO SO cute and sweet (he's the little one in my pics). My mom told me that before we got there she told him "Michelle and Brandon are coming home" and he said "Are they coming to see me?" - melt your heart!!!!!!

It was great to spend time with mom and dad, they are so awesome. Mom made my favorite chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, YUM-O!!! The play we saw that night "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" was hilarious - it wasn't broadway in NYC, but these 4 actors and actresses did a GREAT job!!!!!

I'm so thankful to have a family that loves me so much and helps me as much as they do. We had a rough start earlier in life, but we are close and they are the best. I am a stronger person for what we all went through and I think we all are.

Today is all about packing and applying for jobs. Already done some packing and now it is time to go get a workout in before I get back to it. Getting over a cold so might need to grab a little catnap at some point today!!!!

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Birthday Blues

Saturday, May 28, 2011

So it's my birthday and while it has been a great birthday, surrounded by lots of wonderful family and my favorite little niece and nephew - I am SO anxious.... Not sure if it is the birthday part or something else.

Ah well, deep breath. Off to see a play and hopefully the anxious blues will go away!

Good Morning!

I'm writing this early in the a.m. because we are heading out for our Memorial Day weekend!
I didn't have time to write last night what I was thankful for, but I laid in bed and thought about it before going to sleep (don't want to crash on my resolution 2 days in.....):

*I am thankful that I've been able to get some work during this lull time - it's helping not only financially, but also mentally."

For today:
I'm thankful that I have someone in my life who cares so much about me. Someone who will do anything to make me happy. Someone who stays up late at night just to make me Birthday whoopie pies:^)

My goal for this weekend is to get out for a 5 mile run at least 1 day and either a run or walk another day (depends on how much my hip hurts after the run). Going to enjoy the time with my family - looks like we'll go to the coast on Saturday (depending on the weather) and Sat night Mom and Dad are taking us to see the play "I love you, You're Perfect, Now Change". Can't wait to get out of the city and get out to the country.

And we pick up the keys to your new apt by the beach today - woohoo. Very exciting. Excited to be moving and having so much more open space, a yard, the beach, and a great area to run, bike, and just get out.

Speaking of working out - time to get my Kettlebell workout done before we need to get on the road.

Have a great weekend all! emoticon emoticon
