I may never be a great athlete, but I will not give into the temptation to quit. Today I put off going to the gym in the morning, and thought, I'll just work out at lunch. Well, lunch came and I busied myself with errands, and again missed the workout. So... I went to the gym after work! And I'm glad I did! I got a great workout in, and I'm back at it!
I don't need to be a great athlete, I just want to live a long and healthy life!

That's what I like about a new month. A chance to start fresh! My goal this month is to not eat any fast food for breakfast, and by fast food, I mean McDonalds. This is going to have to be a "one day at a time" thing for me, as I seem to be hooked on the sausage McMuffin. As a replacement, I can make my own easily at home using 100 calorie English muffins and some low fat cheese and ham. I have yogurt here too, and I really like dry cereal. So I have options.
And again, I will track! Even when not home, I can track. I have a notebook and a pen, so of course, I can do this too.
We are getting ready for a short camp trip this weekend, and I will work hard to make wise choices where my food is concerned.

Well, I set a little goal for this month, and I did it! I posted 30 blogs for June. Granted, some are better than others, but I am glad that I was able to be successful in this. Most days I enjoyed the task, and a few days not so much. Every day I enjoyed the comments. Thank you friends for your support.
As I stated yesterday, I will continue to blog, but probably won't do it every day. And for June, I leave you with these wonderful words by e.e. cummings:

I know that being thinner will not make me happy. I actually am quite happy now. I have a nice home and a good husband. I don't have any children, but I have many nieces and nephews. My friends and family accept me for the person I am on the inside.
However, I know I will be happier if I lose some weight. I know what I have to do to do it, too! So I try to do something each day towards that goal.
On another note, a blog a day in June is over! I will still blog on a regular basis, but not everyday. We have some mini vacations planned, and we usually go where there is no internet access. I will continue to track my food and workout at least 15 minutes a day.
