Happy St. Patricks Day! I'm irish through marriage, so I'm calling it a holiday ;) We'll be celebrating tomorrow with a slow cooked corn beef in beer, colcannon and soda bread. I will be eating salmon and asparagus!! LOL!!
I don't have a whole lot to talk about - I just want the points, so I apologize for this blog being totally random and all over the place.
First thing. Workouts.
I LOVE Zumba! I can't believe it's taken me this long to try it! It's like I'm 21 and out at the clubs again (minus the drinks, dark lighting, clubbin clothes, and sweaty dudes - well actually there were some sweaty dudes there...). Also, Kickboxing last night was really good. This is surprising because I was NOT feeling it when I got there. None of my normal partners were there. I was tired, you get the idea. I ended up working with a new kid (it was a bag class so he didn't have to hold pads for me) who actually had some technique. I schooled him though. He was trying to keep up with me and ended up throwing up. Yeah, I felt bad for him, but it's nice to know I can blow the doors off a 19 year old guy Insanity and P90X are still on the menu 5x a week also.
Food. I've been back on the tracking wagon and the grazing has been WAYYY better. Plus, it's been over a week since I gave up nuts and nut butters for lent and I'm happy to report the shakes and night sweats have subsided nicely. I've been doing more cooking too, which helps keep the grazing at bay. I posted a bunch of stuff on my other blog if you are looking for healthy recipes:
Family. Hubby has pneumonia. He's a bit better and has gone back to work after being home for a week. Thank God. I love him, but it was like having a 3rd kid to take care of! My Mom is doing a little better too. She needs to get one more biopsy and an MRI and then should be starting radiation and chemo late next week. All of her doctors are super nice, we feel very comfortable with them. My Dad's legal issues continue, no visible end to that yet. My kids are awesome - healthy, happy, and SLEEPING!!!
Well now I've updated you on my life. Hope this didn't bore you to tears.
Have a great St. Paddy's!
