Lightly jogging for the first time in 5 years

I have jogged 2 miles in the last two days sprinting the last 100 yards. I didn't think I would ever be able to jog again after breaking my back, but the combination of consistent walking and Tae Chi has made me light enough and strong enough to do some. I don't plan on any big running events just want to increase my lung capacity. Beautiful weather is spurring me on. And thanks to all the positive comments.

Spring has sprung as the weight is dropping

It seems I have broken my plateaus and got moving again. I will meet my first goal of 162 by my birthday in July if I can maintain my current weight loss rate. It seems bumping my calories up to about 1600 has got me moving. My previous calorie rate of 1300 was just to low for my activity level and my body reacted poorly. These all all high nutritional calories for the most part and I am very happy with the results. emoticon

    Good for you, glad you figured out the right mix of calories and activities. Some people think it is cutting calories drastically that works, but sometimes your body will start to conserve and not drop the lbs.

Plateaus Suck

I have been frozen at 184 for the last month and it is very discouraging. Doing a cleanse today to reset my body. No exercise today as well to rest.
I have been staying within my guidelines with only one except and that is my fat levels are higher than I would like and my protein lower. With a vegan diet this is extremely hard to balance. I increased my workouts to add weightlifting this last month starting to wonder if that is too much. I really hate plateaus cause it is hard to figure if you should lower or raise calories or lower or raise workouts.
