Something to do.

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

I am trying to find something for the kids to do on winter break. Today is TV and movies so far for one. For another, it's TV, movies, and the PC, and for the last one it's TV and working with Dad.

School's Out

Monday, December 20, 2010

I am not looking forward to the kids being out of school for the next 2 weeks for CHRISTmas break. The reason for this is because they mope around the house saying, " I'm bored. There's nothing to do."

When I was a kid, I found things to do. I lived in Florida, so I was always able to go outside. Now I live in Kentucky and it's cold outside, but during the winter months my kids have always asked to go outside and play in the creak that's full of ice or if there is snow on the ground, to play in the snow.

I try to keep them busy by playing board games with them, but there is always someone who doesn't want to play. I say we are going to the library and there is always someone who doesn't want to go.

They always want to be on the PC and I have a 2 hour limit. Even the TV news people tell you to monitor your kids on the PC and it is not a good idea to let them be on it for more than 2 hours a day. If none of that works then I find them in their room watching tv, movies, or playing games.

What is a person to do with 3 teenagers home from school for 2 weeks?

CHRISTmas Program

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Our children's CHRISTmas program was this morning. The kids were so cute. Especially the little girl who kept losing her crown because of doing hand motions and rocking her head backwards while she was singing. Her solo was OUTSTANDING. She had a teenager (singing softly) helping her with the words, but I thought she did a great job by herself. I think she was about 4 years old.

The adult choir had their program tonight. I was a part of that. I think I did a great job, if I do say so myself, so did the rest of the choir. Merry CHRISTmas everyone and Happy New Year!!

May CHRIST fill your life with hope, love, joy and peace this season. Thanks for keeping CHRIST central to CHRISTmas with this post.

I am sure that your choir did a great job with the program and that many were blessed by the ministry each of you shared.

UK Wildcats on the radio!

Saturday, December 18, 2010

I don't get the channel that the game is on tonight so I'm listening to it on the radio. They are doing a GREAT job. At halftime they were leading by 20. 24-44. Looks like we are headed for another win. AND YES, I'm counting my Wildcats before they win!!!
