My valvuloplasty went well on Sept. 16, however the cardiologist wasn't able to open my valve as much as he had hoped...only about 1/2 as much. Still, I've had great relief and hope it lasts. On the way home from the hospital I almost passed out. My blood pressure had been running low while in the hospital, but the nurse assured me that I would be okay once active again. Not so. My blood pressure continued to stay very low. My meds have been changed 4 times, and now I think it's finally right. I've been stable for a couple of days :)
Another major problem for me was great fatigue. I had very little stamina, could barely drag myself a few feet. Also, the severe headaches that I'd been having for months continued. After several days of this, I made an appt. with my doctor. She assured me that all of my blood work was normal, that my great fatigue and headaches were from all of the physical and mental stress I had been through the past 4 weeks. 3 procedures, 2 hospital stays, cancer scare, losing my best friend, etc. My body was telling me I needed to just rest and heal.
I guess she was right as yesterday I felt a bit better, and today I feel better yet. Praise God!
I have a million and one things to do as we leave for my son's wedding in GA 4 weeks from today. Now where is that to-do list?!
Thanks to all of you who have sent Spark mails, commented on my blogs & page, given me goodies, etc. I've tried to thank you each individually, but may have inadvertently missed someone. A special thanks to QL and QJ who have lifted my spirits and kept me going when I thought I couldn't take one more step. You are the best!
