Start of Swimsuit Boot Camp

I am ready to start the Swimsuit Boot Camp! My measurements at the start are 39 inch waist, 43.5 inch hips and 15 inch neck. Weigh in is 190 to start.

My goals for the month:
1. To follow the program every day.
2. To lose a total of 5 inches.
3. To blog about my experience at least once a week.
4. Take a weekly picture to show progress.

What I hope to accomplish.
1. A more toned body.
2. To make exercise a priority.
3. To be more comfortable with my body.

My daughter loves Hannah Montana, and I was listening to a CD with her the other night, and I heard this song. The title is "Nobody's Perfect". I think that it is a great song for all of us to think about.

For those of you who don't know who Hannah Montana is, she is Billy Ray Cirus's daughter. She has a TV show on the Disney channel, and is one of the hottest new stars!

I think it is amazing that a teenager has this kind of thinking. I think we can all learn something from this.

    In today's pop world where so many of the song lyrics contain profanity and sexual innuendos, it's refreshing to find one with such a positive message. I'm glad that your daughter is listening to this CD instead of other popular but inappropriate ones. Thanks for sharing this inspirational song.

New Month, another chance to do better!

I did not do well in February, but even saying that, I did not gain any weight, and managed to lose a pound. I was sick for part of the month, and then either pulled or injured some muscles, so I took time to let them heal.

So here we are in March. Here are my goals for March.

1. Lose 7 pounds
2. Walk 4-5 times a week. I am thinking of using this as a virtual walk, and walking to my buddy Frogster's town (108 miles, but I think that is a little much right now, and she said her goal was 30 miles this month, so I think that 78 miles would be better, and it would put us near Dorney Park, LOL)
3. Continue to track my food and exercising

  Good luck for March, i am sure you will reach your goal, you have done brilliantly already, its very hard to stay focused isnt it , i have found that one week i can be really good and then the next week i cant control what i eat. When the children are at home i tend to pick all day its as if i have to eat with them, i am dreading the easter hols 2weeks of school and all that chocolate i will go insane LOL

    Although you didn't make as much progress as you'd like in February, I still applaud you for your hard work and losing one pound. I didn't get sick and gained more than a few pounds due to overeating! Well, I forgave myself and am moving forward. I wish you a new month of good health and great progress!

One of my friends recently asked me how much more weight I was going to lose, because she said that I am looking really good now. I told her that clothes can really hide a lot, LOL. I also told her that I was going to see what 25 more pounds will look like, and then go from there. I am still in the obese range, and going down 25 pounds will put me within the overweight range. I am big boned, so I don't know if I will ever make it to the healthy range that SP suggests for me. I think that if I go down that low, I will look sick. But I will continue to evaluate and see what is the best weight for me. I am currently in a size 16, which are loose, but not quite ready to go to a 14. When I get down to a size 12, I will probably just try to maintain from there, but then again, I will see when I get there. I do not have any real goals to be super slim. I don't even think that I could. I am just too curvey, LOL. I just want to be healthier.

    You know Wild.. we are on the exact same track. I'm at -49 now.. and in a 16.. almost ready for a 14! 50 pounds is so amazing!


I'm with you too on losing 25 - 30 more pounds... will still be overweight.... but so much healthier.

Lately, I've been thinking about actually shooting for 100 pounds. That's a big goal to shoot for and I'm having trouble committing to that. But.. if I can lose 80 pounds.. its like being sooooooo close 100, I can't think of a reason not to go for the gold!


I am scared!

Do you realize that we really kick some booty!

    I am just so happy for you for all that you have achieved so far. No one knows your body better than you, so only you should decide what your goal weight should be. Good for you for recognizing the importance of being healthy instead of super slim. Keep up the great work!

    Good on you! Your main goal should be being healthy not size X or size Y.
I saw your pictures and you defintely look lighter than what you weigh. May be you have heavy bones. You should consider that, too. You have done great so far. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

My niece turned 3 yesterday, so we went to Maryland for her birthday party. It was at a place called AirMania. I had no idea what the place did prior to going, so when we found out that it was a place with moon bounces, the kids went nuts. At this place, they have 2 sides with different moon bounces on each side. We were able to play on 1 side for 40 min, and then on the other side for 40 min. Well, since I made it to onederland, I was able to go on the moon bounces. OMG it was so much fun. I raced my daughter through one of the obstacle ones, I chased my son through several of them, many times, and then I just went and bounced. I have no clue how many calories I burned yesterday, (I couldn't find moon bounce on the list of exercises, lol, and I don't think that the trampoline jumping gave me enough credit) but I hope that it made up for the little bit of cake that I had.

Then we slept over at my sister's, we were going to go to a hands on house this morning with the kids, but when we woke up, the weather was so beautiful, we decided that instead of making the kids play inside, which would cost money, we would just go to the playground and play there. Since school was out today for president's day, there were a lot of parents who had the same idea. The playground was so crowded, but the kids had a lot of fun anyway. We didn't need to wear coats or anything down there, it was so beautiful. Then we stopped at chick fillet A for lunch, and I was bad there too. They have this new spicy chicken sandwich, and it was delicious. And of course, I had some fries. But hey, I had just spent 1.5 hours chasing after 4 kids, lol.

Then we came home. It is easily 20 degrees cooler here. I am so glad that we got the chance to play outside like that in the middle of the winter. The kids really enjoyed it as well.

    I'm so glad that you and your family had such a wonderful weekend. Moon bounces sounded like fun! It's great that you were able to play with the kids. In the future when the kids look back on their childhoods, it will be these fond memories that will stand out in their minds. No one will even remember the cake, chicken sandwich and fries! :-)
