Ok, it has been 4 days since I last posted, and what a 4 days it has been!

I am a silent fundraiser chairperson for the school, and we have an Oct 31 deadline to meet to get the Box Tops into the company to have them count for a Dec check. So I ran a contest this month to boost the Box Tops, and I had to wrap that up this week, and count all the Box Tops that the kids brought in. I worked on that for about 10 hours this week. Also we had to get Campbell's labels in, since it has been a year since I submitted them as well. Well the kids did great! They managed over $500 in Box tops and over 9,000 labels.

Then of course on Sunday was cheerleading, bowling, laundry and cleaning the house.

Yesterday was really busy. We went to the last day of our zoo program, came home, waited for the committee to come over so that we could count all those box tops and Campbell's labels, running around with my daughter to her various activities, and then it happened, my car wouldn't start!!! Grrrrr what aggrivation that is. I dropped my daughter off at Cheerleading and went to leave and the car would not start. I had to get to a PTO meeting so that I could let them know the great news about how the kids did for the contest, and to let them know the winners. Also had some other things that I wanted to discuss with the PTO. So they tried to get my car to start by jumping it (which I knew wouldn't work, because the battery and alternator are only 3 months old) and of course it didn't. So I had to wake up my hubby, who was napping, as he had to go out to work overnight, to get him to come pick me up and take me to the meeting. I got a ride home from the meeting from one of the other parents at the meeting. Then had to go up to my neighbor's house to get her to run me back over to my car so that we could be there when the tow truck arrived. Well, the tow truck gets there, and I went to try to start the car, so he could see what was wrong with it, and the car started right up!!!!! So I apologized to the guy, and said that it really didn't start earlier, and that I have witnesses to prove it, LOL!!! So I drove it over to the garage and left it there so they could work on it today.

Stopped by the garage on the way to work, and explained to the mechanic what was going on with the car. He called me today, and he had gotten the car to do what had happened to me. When the car gets hot, the starter was sticking. So they replaced the starter on my car. At least it's fixed now. So hopefully that is it for the rest of this year. I have a 1997 Saturn, and I love this car! It has almost 252,000 miles on it, and I am not giving it up until it costs me more to keep it on the road then a new car would cost.

Because I was so busy, I didn't eat enough. I was able to eat good breakfast, lunch and dinners, but did not get many snacks in, so my calories were very low for those days. I will do better!

Oh, and I almost forgot this great news!!! I was down 2.5 lbs this week!

Sorry this is so long, and thanks for sticking around to read it all! But it was 4 busy days since I last posted!!

My sparkfriends, you keep me motivated!! Even when I don't get time to post or read your blogs, I know that you will be here when I do get a chance to do these things! Thank you so much.

I like long blogs too! Hopefully, you got your car back last night. I've always heard Saturns were good cars. We ALMOST bought one a few years ago, but decided on a Hyundai instead.

I am so stoked about your weight loss! You are SO consistant every week!! Are you getting excited about getting down to the 200 mark?!?!?!?

First of all, congratulations on your 2.5 pounds weight loss! You had a great week! Second of all, I LOVE long blogs and messages, so no need to apologize for this entry's length. Third of all, thank YOU for being my SP friend. I love to read your blog entries and am glad when you read mine. We get to stay in touch with each other's lives and progress! :-) Sorry about your car not working yesterday, but I'm glad that the mechanic had a diagnosis. Hopefully, it will be running smoothly from now on. Also, I really admire you for the work you do for your community and your kids' school. Volunteers are sometimes hard to come by nowadays. I'm certain that your dedication is much appreciated by your community. Keep up the great work!

Ok, I didn't get a chance to blog yesterday, and I didn't exercise either. It was a lazy, rainy day for me. Work was crazy, and after work, I went up to my friends house and just hung out.

I'm at work again today, and for a Saturday, it is crazy in here. I think that afterwork today, I will go home, get some exercising in and then go up to my friends house and hang out with them again tonight.

Tomorrow is crazy Sunday, church, football game, and bowling. So I will be running all day again.

Life is hard and time is in short supply but remember we all need time out now and then, so you probably gained more benefit from not traing on this day than you realise.
It's only a break, so relax and enjoy and start kicking butt again the next day.
Best of luck with your goals
John ;-)

Wow, what a busy day! Today I had off work so that I could go to a Halloween parade tonight. So I ended up spending most of the day working on school silent fundraising stuff. I got a lot done today with that. Then we went to the parade tonight. My daughter walked for 2 different organizations. She spent most of the parade with the Brownies, but when it was time to go before the judges, she went up with the cheerleaders. Whew, there were actually 4 Brownies that did this. So the Brownie troop took 2nd place in the organization catagory, and the Cheerleaders took 1st place. So my daughter was pretty excited about that! I walked the entire parade with the girls, and let me tell you, trying to keep 12 8 yr olds walking in some sort of organized manner is a real trip!!! They were all over the place, because they were throwing candy, and of course they all had friends and family there. Ok, time to go get the kids in bed now!

10/16/07---Day 90

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

I cannot believe that it has been 3 months since I clicked the join button for this site. I really did not do a whole lot the first couple of weeks either! I think that I have come a long way in such a short amount of time.

In the 3 months so far, I have lost 31 lbs, went from a size 20 to a size 16, found my way back to eating better and exercising more. I have also found that I do not crave the things that I had to have anymore. I do not even miss the sodas that I used to drink. In fact, on Sat, I had my first Dr Pepper since I have started this journey, and it took me 3 hours to drink one can. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but that one will probably last me another 3 months, LOL. Also, when I go looking for some snack foods now, instead of reaching for the chips or pretzels, I go for fresh fruit and veggies, granola bars or yogurt.

I have also found a lot of great people to help me with this journey. Frog and Amy have been extremly helpful and motivational for me. We have spent the last month e-mailing back and forth for a challenge that we were in, and at this time, I do not that I will be able to stop mailing them. They are great!!! Thanks ladies!!! Also all the others from the LAP team who have visited my spark page and left encouraging words, thank you! I probably could have done this on my own, but it would have been a lot harder and not as fun as this journey has turned out to be. I hope you are all around when I hit the first plateau, (which I cannot believe has not happened yet), to give me the extra support that I will need to get through it.

I also hope that during this first 90 days, that I have helped others to stay motivated.

Again, thanks all my spark friends!!

Congratulations on 90 successful days! I hope there are many more to come. It is wonderful you are not wanting the junk food that is hard not to enjoy. Good luck for the rest of your journey!

That is fabulous news, to hear you have lost 31 lbs and have dropped 4 dress sizes in 3 months. You are doing so awesome. I have been with SP for awhile but fell off the wagon, which I think was due to not joining any teams because of my shyness. Then in May 2007 I got back on track and started joining some great teams. Especially LAP. I totally agree with you about having the support from others. I also reach now for healthier snacks. And am back walking again and loving it.

And you have definitely been an inspiration to me.

Ok, my challenge to blog everyday is over, but I found that I like putting something down here everyday. It keeps me in focus and on track. I just want to thank all of you who have read my blogs and put great comments on them. It is really appreciated. You all help keep me motivated and the scale moving in the right direction.

I had to go buy new jeans today, the one's that I have aren't exactly falling off at this point, but they are close! I have to keep pulling them up and that is very annoying. The new jeans were a size 16!!!! WooHoo!!!!
