Today was a really busy day, just trying to get everything done before midnight. Had a pretty decent day today, but I don't think I ate enough for the level of activity I had, but I am not really that hungry. I was running pretty much all day long. Bowled pretty good tonight 154, 172. and 182, but we only won 1 game. Ok, gotta run, still some housework I want to get done before I go to bed. Have a good night all.

    Sounds like you had a busy but fun day! I am also going to be below my calorie allowance today because I just don't feel hungry. Too bad we can't bank that for another day when we go to parties or out to dinner! LOL

Ok, today was my day for the month to eat whatever I wanted to eat. I had 2 pancakes with sugar free syrup and 3 brown and serve sausages (went to a pancake breakfast that the boy scouts were doing). Then had some tostitos and salsa, and for lunch, and I will have again for dinner, a slice of buffalo chicken pizza and a Dr. Pepper (I have not had one in almost 3 months), and then for dessert, I am going to have a brownie sundae, a very small one. After dinner tonight, I got some fresh fruit to eat.

So while I probably didn't make the best choices, I feel that they were not very bad, and like I said, I think that I am going to do this once a month, that way I do not feel too depraved of things that I like. I am going to only take 1 serving of the stuff that is not so good for me, and not go overboard.

I am also going to go home tonight and do the 3 mile walking tape. I think that will make up for any damage that I did today!

    Having a reward night is a great idea. I hope you enjoyed your food and walking it off after is always a way to keep the guilt away!

    What a great idea! It's always fun to reward yourself for hard work, and you certainly deserve it! I don't think that I'm at the point yet, where I could stop at one serving. It gives me something to strive for though!! Your strength and willpower astound me!!

    Moderation is the key- if you eat reasonably the rest of the month a small reward is appropriate and helpful! Now you won't have to obsess over food you feel you cannot have and can continue eating well.

    Sounds like a great plan to me! Some people would rather avoid their vices at all costs. I am one of those who can eat three potato chips to rid the cravings. Different strokes for different folks. I also don't try to make perfect food choices all the time because I would just be setting myself up for a major binge sooner or later. Also, I'm glad that you are still working out tonight, even though it's your splurge day. You're doing great! Keep up the good work!

    That's a great idea--as long as you can stop at the 1 serving of the bad stuff ;-) There is no way that I would have the will power to stop though, so I will not be trying this. Maybe someday, when all or at least most of my food demons are under control, I can get away with this ;-)

WooHoo, I think that I had another major breakthrough! Last night I was so craving something chocolatey and gooey, and there was one of those microwavable chocolatey, gooey Betty Crocker deserts in the pantry, and I RESISTED the calling! Every time that I thought about going and getting it and making it, I also thought, is it really worth the effort that it is going to take to work it off! (If you read yesterday's blog, you would really know what I mean!) I also have to say that even if I would have eaten it, I would have been within my calorie range for the day, but at the very high end.

I have been trying to do really good during the week, so that on the weekend, I can have the extra treat, without going crazy.

    Isn't it wonderful when junk food is losing its hold on us? I'm so proud of you for having the will power to resist a chocolatey gooey dessert! You should feel so good about yourself because you made a CHOICE to not consume the extra empty calories. YOU had the power and were in control! Keep up the wonderful attitude!

Today is the first really cool day that we have had in a long time. It was dark when I got up this morning, because it has been overcast and rainy all day. I really did not want to get out of bed this morning. Oh well, I got up and got moving. Had to really rush around this morning, because I had to run my son to a friends house 30 min away before work, and of course it was in the opposite direction of work. And I have to go pick him up after work. Ughhhh makes for a long day. I thought about not exercising this evening, because I will be getting home about an hour and a half later then I usually do. But I think that instead of just blowing off exercise all together, I will at least go home and do the 15 min mile tape that I have. It won't be much, but at least it's something.

    I'm right there with ya' sister! The past 2 nights have been compromised walks because of getting home late and a sick husband. I really felt the need to do at least SOMETHING though. But I sure didn't sleep as well I have been since I started exercising. Thanks for your encouraging comments on my blog! Now that I've seen the February pic and least know what you look like, how about an updated pic? Don't be shy!

Ok, 10 days into the month, and I have been doing pretty good with the goals that I have set for myself. Exercise gets easier and easier to do every day. I feel more cheated when I don't exercise, so I get up and go!
