What a beautiful day today has turned out to be. It is nice and warm. But this morning was really foggy at our house. My son walked out and said, Look mommy, the clouds are on the ground. It is just so amazing to see the world through the eyes of a 3 yr old. Every day he is learning something new, and teaching me to slow down and enjoy the little things. When I first went out, I was like Ohhh, have to drive through the fog this morning. After hearing Ben say that about the clouds, it was more like, neat, going to drive through the clouds. It made the start of my day a little brighter, even though it was so foggy.

I love the way that just one little shift in perception can change your whole day...or even your whole life! Kinda like chocolate cake...it used to be, "oh this chocolate cake is the greatest thing ever!!" and now, with a nice little perception nudge, it can be, "oh that looks pretty good, but I know it's not worth the three hours of walking I'll have to do to undo the damage!"

You have a very smart little son on your hands!

Kids really say the cutest things that just make you smile. :-) The circumstance remains the same, but a different perspective really changes the whole picture, doesn't it? You have such a sweet little boy!

Wow, what a great start to the day!! Today is walk to school day, and even though we live in a horrible area to walk, we live off a 2 lane road, with no sidewalks or berms. It is horrible if someone breaks down on the road, because there is no where to pull off the road. The Heath committee for the PTO came up with a great way to allow the kids who normally get bused to be included. We met at a restuarant across the highway from the school, the state police then came and blocked the road so the kids could get safely across the highway. There were 104 kids who participated this morning. It was pretty awesome. And the police stayed to let the adults safely cross back to get to their vehicles!

Well hopefully the rest of the day goes just as good. We will see.

What a great lesson you and your community taught 104 kids yesterday. The importance of exercise for good health and environmental conservation are sometimes lessons that need to be taught by example outside of the classroom. Way to go!

2. Exercise 4 times a week
3. Eat at least one fresh fruit or vegetable a day.

Wow, you have set yourself some great goals for the month. Good idea, I'm inspired now to set myself some mini goals for each week in October. I believe in the power of positive thinking and you can do it. Also, I will be quietly cheering for you too. Bye for now. TTFN

Having a really good day today. Accomplished a couple of things that needed to get done today. Took some time to take it easy, and this evening, I am going up to my friends house to hang out a little and have some fun. Tomorrow, I am taking my son to the zoo for a pre-school program that they have there. It runs for 4 weeks, we are really looking forward to that. After that I think that we will decorate the house for Halloween!

Ok, woke up feeling kinda crappy today. Ate breakfast, my hubby made me pancakes. Started to feel a little better. Did some laundry, ate lunch, then the craziness begins! Went to my daughters cheerleading, she cheers for the ponies, and they had not even started the midget game yet. Found out that the refs never showed up! So they were running way late. So to pass the time, I went to the concession stand to see if they needed help. It was crazy!!! Since the refs weren't there yet, everybody was coming to the concession stand to get something to eat or drink. For 3 hours, we worked pretty non stop. It was a lot of fun though! I then went to watch Kimberly cheer. By the time the game was done, we had to dash so that I could get home to go to the bowling lanes. So I dropped the kids off, woke my husband up, (he works 3rd shift) and ran out the door. Had a decent night bowling, raised my average a pin. Then off to the grocery store. I made it home just in time to let my husband go to work. Wow, what a day!!!

Sounds like you had a great day, even though it was busy! It makes it hard to eat badly when you barely have time to eat at all! LOL! I hope today isn't as busy!
