Bootcamp Day 4

Day 4 bootcamp went well. I don't think that my ball has enough air in it though. It looked a lot squishier then Nicoles. Will have to have my hubby put more air into it.

Bootcamp Day 3 and Jan Goals

Day 3 of the boot camp went well! I love working the upper body on the stability ball. I am a little sore, but it is getting better. I feel so much better. I am so glad that I got motivated again! I have so much more energy now.

My goals for January.

1. Start tracking all my food again. I am doing pretty good with this so far!
2. Get in more fruits and veggies every day. I am working on this
3. Get to 199 pounds again!

Bootcamp Day 2 and LAP Challenge

Day 2 of the bootcamp was a lower body workout using a ball. It was an easy video to follow and do the exercises. My legs are a little sore, haven't been doing the squats and lunges like I should have been doing. But I am still going strong, and having fun doing it.

For my cardio for the day, I got out the Wii Active. I am not sure that I am really impressed by it. It was fun, but either I was doing something wrong, or the controllers were not working like they were supposed to. I was able to get it to work, but not the way that it was supposed to. Also, there was no stretching exercises after you completed the workout, so I had to do them on my own.

I am also doing the LAP buddy challenge. Jayccee77 is my buddy and Jen169 just joined us today! I am always excited about the challenges that I do with LAP. They are so much fun, and I get a chance to know some of my teammates better. If you are looking for a fun challenge, join us on the Losing and Playing team. We are team 2 in the Jan buddy challenge! I know that I like to stretch after my cardio workout too! Heck, I just like the stretches. Sometimes I'll add some extra just cause I like them.

    I'm glad you are doing well with both the bootcamp and LAP challenge! Kudos to you for doing so much exercises. Sorry the Wii Active workout wasn't ideal, but good for you for adding some stretching exercises to complete the session.

Bootcamp Day 1

I will have to get my friend to do my measurements and take some before pictures for me. I will get her to do that later today! My starting weight for this is 208. I hope to get below 200 again by the end of the month. I think that is very doable.

I got up and did the first day of bootcamp! Woohoo! I am not supposed to jump, I did a little, but mostly modified the workout to what I can do and stayed at the same pace as Nicole. Wow, that 10 min is intense! Feels good though, a great way to jumpstart the day.

Well, I've got laundry to do and then going bowling tonight!

2009 was an ok year for me. I did not do well with losing the weight that I wanted, as a matter of fact, I ended up gaining 20 pounds. I kept telling myself that I would lose it, than another pound would join in, and they added up one at a time to 20 pounds.

We were able to get to the campground for several long weekends this summer and had a lot of fun! We were able to take a couple of trips to Rehoboth with my MIL this year. We were also able to take a trip to Ocean City with my parents. My daughter did very well cheering this year, and both my son and my daughter are bowling.

Had some major changes happen at work, and it is taking some time to get used to the new rules, LOL. Change is never easy!

I am very disappointed in myself for letting the pounds back on, but I am not giving up, and I am not going back to where I started. 2010 is a new year with lots of time to get back on track!

    Before I say anything else, I just want to give you some big emoticon...

My friend, I also know the pain of regaining weight. In fact, I also gained back 20 pounds in 2009. You described it perfectly... Before I would lose that pound, I'd gain one more. I became increasingly discouraged and eventually sort of gave up. I continued to exercise regularly, but sadly I stopped caring when it came to food. Despite my diligence in the area of exercise, it just wasn't enough to keep my weight from going up.

So here we are 20 pounds heavier than when we started 2009. Besides high cholesterol (which I am taking medication for), I was also diagnosed with prediabetes in December. Believe me when I tell you that I understand your disappointment in regaining weight... Today is January 1st, the start of a brand new year? Where do we go now?

Well, we have a clean slate. We can keep going the way we were going in 2009 and become even more miserable, or we can step on the brake. It's not going to be easy, but I know that with the help and support of our wonderful Spark friends, WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Let's do this, Bobbi. Let's go!
