Article I read--Part 1

For some reason today, this article really made an impression on me. As I was reading it, it sounded oh so familiar. We try to strive for perfection, and when we fall short of that goal, we tend to stress out, and feel like a failure, and just give up. I have 2 children, one is eight and the other is three. When I watch them, it is so amazing. The little one does not give up becasue he does not know how to do something. His sister will patiently show him again and again how to do something, and then when he finally gets it, he comes running over to me yelling, "I did it, I did it Mommy". I think that I am going to start taking the same approach to this healthy living. I may have learned a lot of this stuff before, and as I read the articles, and talk to other people, I am relearning a lot of what I already knew, but have pushed to the back of my mind. I will continue going until I get it right!

    Motivation seems to be my downfall too at certain times. I know what to do and how to do it, but sometimes it seems there's just a little monster in my head telling me otherwise! I know that I have learned a lot from my kids too, and especially when they were younger, like yours are now!! Sometimes, they are the best teachers!!

    That's such a fantastic attitude! You will be successful. Isn't it amazing how we can hear something over and over and yet suddenly it seems to "click". I guess the trick is to hear or read it when we are open to it.

Feeling Better

I know that I have not lost a lot of weight yet, and I still have a long way to go on this journey, but I am feeling better every day. My clothes are starting to get big, and I feel like I have a lot more energy to do things. I am so glad that I found this site.

3 weeks

Well it has been 3 weeks since I started with SP, and I have lost 13.5 lbs. These have not been really hard to lose, but I know that the hardest are yet to come. I will continue to do what I am doing, and continue to add to what I am doing to really make this work this time. I am so excited by the changes that I am seeing, that it just keeps motivating me, as does this site. I am so glad that I have found this site to keep me on track and accountable for what I am doing.
