Great to be back...

Wow, it's great to be back...

Sadly, I had to take some much needed time for myself. So much has happened, I don't know where to begin...

For starters, I'm almost done with the Spring cleaning I started last January. The last room was the bedroom which I finished deep cleaning about 2 weeks ago. Although it was tedious deep cleaning all the rooms and moving the furniture, it was well worth it! ** I took about 24+ boxes of items to Goodwill and still have about 3 more boxes to take over to the donation drop off. (Be sure to check out the before/after pictures of my bedroom in my photo gallery -- The change is dramatic).

Along w/ the Spring cleaning, I set the goal of becoming more organized. Well, it too is a tedious task, but I'm working on it. So far, I've created a mail sorting system (using baskets/bins) and a system for sorting the laundry. I've also created a "check-off" grocery list and Weekly To-Do list along w/ a monthly budget sheet.

My dad's Cancer has stabilized (meaning it hasn't spread or gotten worse) to the point where he's finally able to travel places. My parents have a trip to the Dakota's planned for July.

On top of all this, my grandfather's health is rapidly declining to the point where no one knows what to expect anymore because he's starting to lose his mind.

Despite all this and being away from SP for awhile, I'm actually doing okay health wise. I'm still watching what I eat and monitoring my portions. I'm even drinking more water... I'm up to about 6-7 glasses per day. What's amazing is the fact that I haven't gone back to relying on food to cope w/ things... No, instead I blog whenever possible on the various sites I'm a member of and Twitter.

As things are still a bit hectic, my goal is to gradually return to being a full-active SP member. Until then, I'm going to gradually work towards my goal going step by step... This being step 1.

Oops! I missed an entry... My goal was to blog everyday during the bootcamp, but unfortunately I had a family commitment I had to attend to last night. Did the required SP videos these last two days along with 30-Min of cardio per day.

So, how am I doing? Well... I've been watching my portion control and the types of food I eat. I've also been making sure to exercise every day (no matter how much or how little).

** On a personal note: Earlier tonight, I cleaned out my refrigerator/freezer and food cabinets... Purging outdated and unhealthy items. That pretty much left everything empty (lol!). So, I created a relatively large grocery list and off I went. Spent $144.00 at the food store! That's a record for me, but at least I'm eating healthy.

    Monday is JUNE 1st. Yes, the first of the month and a MONDAY. The best day to begin emoticonso let's set some NEW goals and START fresh. I know we can makes some goals for the month. Just think, in 7 months it will be 2010, so Monday is a GOOD day to start. emoticon

So glad you are eating HEALTHY!!!! Very good.

Wow... Already up to day 25. Where did the days go?

Walked a 30-Min mi today and did the SP video of the day. I know it's not much, but things at work have been hectic these last few days.

So, how am I doing w/ the weight loss? Haven't lost anything, although my clothes do fit looser than they did before starting the bootcamp. Hmmm... Is this a good or not. I was hoping to lose at least a few lbs... But the bootcamp isn't quite over yet. So, maybe there's still time.

My dd, Maggie, graduates from high school tomorrow, so she gets to "walk". emoticon emoticon She got through 4 years of the IB Program, so I'm happy for her.

  I also have not lost any weight with the Bootcamp, but my pants are fitting better. I am going to measure myself when we are done so I can truly see if there is improvement. While my goal is to obviously lose weight, I do feel much better knowing I have gotten in some form of exercise each day, even if it's only 10 minutes.

Woke up early this morning and almost immediately took off running the errands on my list knowing I promised a friend I would help w/ gardening later in the afternoon.

First on my agenda was dropping off books/movies/CD's off at 1/2 Price Books... Received $51 cash for all my items. Leaving the store, I headed off to the grocery store to pick up the items I forgot to purchase Friday night.

Home with the groceries, I unpacked the groceries and cleaned out the car before heading off to my friend's house.

Went to the garden center with my friend to pick out flowers... My friend purchased 5 flats of flowers. Arriving back at the house, we spent the next hour planting flowers in the planters.

That done, I drove home. Relaxing for about a 30-Min, I then did the SP video of the day.

Started my day off with doing the SP video of the day... Kickboxing.
This afternoon, I went to my parents' place. Went for a 24-Min walk w/ my dad.

I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing.
