Wow, it's great to be back...
Sadly, I had to take some much needed time for myself. So much has happened, I don't know where to begin...
For starters, I'm almost done with the Spring cleaning I started last January. The last room was the bedroom which I finished deep cleaning about 2 weeks ago. Although it was tedious deep cleaning all the rooms and moving the furniture, it was well worth it! ** I took about 24+ boxes of items to Goodwill and still have about 3 more boxes to take over to the donation drop off. (Be sure to check out the before/after pictures of my bedroom in my photo gallery -- The change is dramatic).
Along w/ the Spring cleaning, I set the goal of becoming more organized. Well, it too is a tedious task, but I'm working on it. So far, I've created a mail sorting system (using baskets/bins) and a system for sorting the laundry. I've also created a "check-off" grocery list and Weekly To-Do list along w/ a monthly budget sheet.
My dad's Cancer has stabilized (meaning it hasn't spread or gotten worse) to the point where he's finally able to travel places. My parents have a trip to the Dakota's planned for July.
On top of all this, my grandfather's health is rapidly declining to the point where no one knows what to expect anymore because he's starting to lose his mind.
Despite all this and being away from SP for awhile, I'm actually doing okay health wise. I'm still watching what I eat and monitoring my portions. I'm even drinking more water... I'm up to about 6-7 glasses per day. What's amazing is the fact that I haven't gone back to relying on food to cope w/ things... No, instead I blog whenever possible on the various sites I'm a member of and Twitter.
As things are still a bit hectic, my goal is to gradually return to being a full-active SP member. Until then, I'm going to gradually work towards my goal going step by step... This being step 1.
