on july 3rd i had my wellness check up. well it didn't go so good. i had gained 9lbs in 4mos, the Dr told me i had to get the weight off or i'm looking at knee surgery which i don't want. i have been cutting back on my eating, i am only eating the serving size now, i fix all my lunches & snacks the night before work work the next day. so far i have lost 5.4lbs. i tell my self that it's not alot so i'm just gonna quite, i was telling my friend this morning that i had weighed & only lost 4oz this week, she said " it's 4oz less that you have on you don't give up " i was really surprised by her answer. when i went to break i went on my mile walk... i have to say thank you to my friend Pam...

    I just recently had my check up a few weeks ago. I also need to do this for health reasons. We can do this. good luck and your friend was right. 4 oz is better than no oz

    Welcome back. Slow and steady is the healthiest way to do this. You will have ups and downs, but don't get discouraged. Just keep moving forward. You can and will succeed.

i was asked at work to join a biggest losers team at vilonia, well i have really been thinking about this hard. the only problem is , they met at 6:30 2 days a week, i work in little rock and live in mayflower, i already drive an hour and if i do this i will have another 30min at least added to my drive, not to mention the traffic i wil have also, and the extra gas it will cost me. it has its down falls, and there are more of them then good for me, i really wish i could find something in mayflower or in conway. i am a member of the conway group on here but it's like there is no members in it, there is no activty at all on any of the blogs. i would love to have some where to go and have to be more accountable for my weight and exercise and have a small group to walk with and motivate me to keep going. this helps me some but i need more, it's so easy to just not do anything, no one really knows what you do. i do great on my eating but i slack on my exercise, i really need to get that in. i set my clock every night and tell my self i'm getting up at 5:00 and gonna walk on the treadmill in the morning and when the clock goes off i hit the snooze and roll over.. i don't even think about it.. i have to get something..do something .. get some ideas on how to get my butt out of bed and this this started!!!!!!!

    I had to look for things in the morning to get excited about. The smell off the river, the sound of the birds waking, the cool morning breeze, etc and I was able to get up. In short it was a change in perspective that I needed. I myself would have a problem traveling to find people to exercise with, but I live in the community where the Snake and Clearwater Rivers merge. There are paths around both sides of the river with breattaking views and lots of people down there at all times of the day. Even if I'm alone, I'm good with the walks.

I HAVE GONE FROM A 2XL & A XXL TO A L & XL, I'M SO HAPPY FOR MYSELF!!!! WOOHOO
IT HAS BEEN WAY TO HOT IN THE EVENINGS TO WALK BUT I HAVE GOTTEN A TREADMILL NOW AND I HAVE BEEN WALKING ON IT IN THE MORNING AND IN THE EVENINGS, I AM STILL WALKING AT WORK. I FEEL SO BAD THAT SADIE AND WIGGLES ARENT GETTING TO WALK DUE TO THE HEAT, BUT I DON'T WANT THEM TO HAVE A HEAT STROKE OR ANYTHING HAPPEN TO MY FUR BABIES.
I HAVEN'T BEEN LOGGING IN MY FOOD OR EXERCISE SCENCE THE 9TH OF THIS MO BUT I HAVEN'T QUITE, I AM STILL GOING STRONG!!!!!

I WILL NOT GIVE UP!!!!

Treadmills are nice, I love mine. And it doesn't matter what time it is or the weather, you can still exercise. As sad as you feel for your dogs, I bet they run around the house enough to get in a little exercise. Hope your weather cools for their sake.

june 4 feel like i have lost

felt great this morning when i got up. i feel like i have lost some weight but it has only been 4 days that i have been hard at it. i have been doin great at my walkin and at watchin what i est all day.

this evenin it was so hot and humid walkin, so much fat rollin, rollin, rollin, off.

1 mile in 23 min. better then yesterday... emoticon
