I'm Streaking!!

I'm tracking and eating pretty darn well so far! I'm actually pretty proud of myself. I'm gonna see some good downward movement on the scale this week!

On the agenda for today:

Mourning the loss of my beloved Colts to those TERRIBLE Patriots.

Taking down the Christmas decorations.

Doing copious amounts of laundry (but really, when am I NOT doing laundry?)

Cleaning house

Cooking/Freezing a few things for the days that I am just too tired to cope.

and finally....

I'm going to have myself a nice glass of wine tonight after the kiddos go to bed. I deserve it.

    I've recently jumped on the chia seed wagon. I really like it mixed in with my greek yogurt and granola! Your recipe sounds delicious. Will definitely give that a shot tomorrow!

    Breakfast is the most important... I have found that what really keeps me going is Oatmeal, raisins, ground flax with a touch of cinnamon and stevia. Keeps me full longest.

Big News! NSVs and

I'm midway through day 4 of tracking and exercise streak. Energy level is much higher today. Been taking my vitamins and trying to eat delicious and nutritious food. But the BIG news in my life is....wait for it....there's more than one big thing happening....

I just sent the very LAST payment for our truck! We'll be starting August completely car payment FREE! I hope we can spend the next few years without a car payment (and saving up like a mofo for our next one in the meantime). I hate owing money. We are SO close to being completely debt free. Student loans and car payment are gone. All we have is our credit cards (which really aren't too bad). But paying those off should be much easier because....

I just got a new job! I'm teaching swimming lessons at our YMCA! I've been wanting a part-time job, but couldn't really find one with a schedule that would work for me. Finally, this fell into my lap and I jumped at the chance. Swimming has been a passion of mine since childhood. I have a lot of experience with teaching swimming lessons. This is a perfect fit! I also threw my hat into the ring to be a swim coach for the swim team they're forming. I really think this is exactly where I need to be right now. It gives me time to focus on my passion, a little extra cash, and more importantly, it keeps me in a fitness/healthy living environment. LOVE IT!

Things feel good today. For the first time in a long time, I'm feeling excited about my weigh-in on Saturday!

I had an NSV yesterday! My gym has something called Fitlinxx. It's a computer program that tracks your strength training and cardio. I hit a new level of accomplishment (15,000 points). The tracking station screen was celebratory. It's dorky to feel excited about that.....but I am!

Concentrating on streaking for the rest of July! Day 3 of exercise and tracking is almost complete. It's been CRAZY hot and humid, so I've been sticking with the gym. However, tonight I may try to go for a nice long walk outside.
