Fitness Goals

Sunday, August 24, 2014

I've been thinking about goals as it relates to my fitness. I've kinda been letting my workouts slide into nothing lately, and I'm going to change it.

1. Complete 10 Army regulation push-ups. Luckily, my husband can help me with that.

2. Thanksgiving 5k. The local YMCA does a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. I'm going to be there with bells on.

3. 30 days of intentional fitness. Starting TODAY!

New Schedule

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

I need to come up with a new schedule now that my reality is changing a bit. My daughter starts school a week from today, my husband is now going to be home during the day (for a while), and we will be moving to a new house soon. Time to start figuring out my schedule. So far....

6:00 am-- Wake up
6:30--prepare breakfast
6:45--wake up DD
7:45--Take DD to school

Directly after dropping her off I'm going to hit the gym.

Huge Changes in the Works

Monday, August 18, 2014

Well, we are incredibly close to the end of our time as an active duty military family. There have been so many ups and downs along the way. My physical activity has certainly suffered. I know that I really need physical activity not only to lose weight, but to combat the stress that's coming with it....

So why is it so hard to get my butt moving?

I'm making a public declaration that I will move my butt this week!

I'm going to hit 10,000 steps a day if it kills me.

I may need to invest in one. I currently have a fitbit.

I have found that the Spark Activity Tracker really does motivate you to move more. It's now easy for me to hit 10,000 steps a day.

Do What Works!

Saturday, May 24, 2014

The WW points system wasn't working well for me. My weight was all over the place and I found tracking to be difficult sometimes. I'm back to just Spark. I've lost the most weight here and the support and communities make things much easier. This week I've stayed within my calorie ranges and lost 6 lbs!!!!! Feels good to be back. Let's rock this thing!

I'm Streaking!!

Sunday, January 12, 2014

I'm tracking and eating pretty darn well so far! I'm actually pretty proud of myself. I'm gonna see some good downward movement on the scale this week!

On the agenda for today:

Mourning the loss of my beloved Colts to those TERRIBLE Patriots.

Taking down the Christmas decorations.

Doing copious amounts of laundry (but really, when am I NOT doing laundry?)

Cleaning house

Cooking/Freezing a few things for the days that I am just too tired to cope.

and finally....

I'm going to have myself a nice glass of wine tonight after the kiddos go to bed. I deserve it.

While I'm not an advocate of empty calories as in wine, I do know many do imbibe. Enjoy

Sorry about the Colts - I was hoping they would win. I'm a WhoDat fan, so I feel your pain today. Keep streaking! emoticon
