Well, as we will be going out of town for the weekend and I am hoping that people wi. ll be shopping at the two locations where I have merchandise. I went to both today to rearragne, spruce up and fluffed. I put a percentage sale at both locations hoping that it will tempt people to shop more. I have some really great jewelry at one location so I am hoping that the sale will tempt gift purchases. The owner and managers at this location relaly like my merchndise. I have lots of jewelry that I have been collecting over the years and I am mixing it with some new really glittizy bling. I was so excited when I went in this morning and found that I had sold `18 pieces over the last 10 days 7 to one customer. I usually go by every week to check on things and add more if needed but the day I was scheduled to go we had a severe rain storm and I do not really drive in these unless necessary. To me necessary is if I am working on a clock and scheduled for that time, doctors appointment or Miss Coco's Spa Day. Otherwise everything can wait until another day.
Hubby just called and he is having to work a double tomorrow. I can see that I will be doing the driving when we go to his mother's. He could even be required to pull a double on Wednesday. I really do not like these kind of hours as he tells me he is tired. He is taking his vities, napping on his breaks, etc., but there is just so much the body can take before it breaks. He is on 10 hour days now and forturnately, they were not required to work this past Saturday and Sunday. He was with me at the market, but he is not doing a lot except talking to all the friends that he does not see when he is working. He will sit in his chair and fill out books for us, he deals with customers that come in, but if they start asking lots of questions he turns them over to me. He is under no stress on the weekends when we are at the market. Often I will find him sitting in a chair with Miss Coco on his lap enjoying the time together.

Well again we had a really slow day at the Market. There was a major home football game that started a 1:00 and that takes so many of our customers. The Market has come up with this bright Idea that we all need to be open every Friday until the first of the year. Well, most of the venders have full time jobs and are not able to be there on Fridays and who is going to come to the Market on Black Friday when they shop Walmart, Target, etc. Hubby and I go out of town for the Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas and New Years, so we will not make any of them. I put a big sign on my door when I left, Happy Thanksgiving will return on December 4th. This new management has not clue in the world about our customers and their patterns. I hope they do not do too much damage to our customer base before they become aware of our world. We have a number of customers that call me to mke sure that we have what they need, how much and if they pull up to our back door will we bring it out so they do not have to get out and walk around to get to us. Of course, we accommodate.
The opening on Black Friday was sprung n us last week and the other Saturdays were given to us today. They want to know why people are not planning to be there an be open. Well, we all have made our plans for weeks for the holidays and will not change to their specifications. They told one lady to bring in her partner that had a really bad wreck and has just come home from the hopsital and unable to walk. They suggested, they give her a wheelchair and let her deal with customers. I will not repeat what her daughter had to say to the person that made this suggestion.......She has been working for her Mother for 6 weeks now and she works full time during the week. She did this so her Mother would not have to close her business because she could not work it.
We all have just sat around and laughed at these new people. One day they will realize how far out in left field they are.

Well, today was better at the market. We had more customers and they seemed to be letting go of a little of theirmoney. Not what it should be this time of the year, but must be appreciative of everything that we do have. I have been making deals with my regular customers, so they will purchase more. I offer another item at a 20% discount for each one they purchase of equal or lesser price. This was moving some of the mor expensive items today.
Well, Miss Coco was in her little heaven today. Hubby had his usual breakfast there and she got her little spoon of grits and eggs. At lunch he had turkey, potatoes with gravy, green beans and sweet pototoes. Well you would have had to be there to see this little one work her Daddy. She knows that she is not suppose to jump on you when you are eating as that is a no no and will result in no treats. She was sitting at his feet and making little sounds, like remember I am down here, don't forget me, okay are you paying attention to the fact that this little girl is stting here patiently. Finally, in desperation, she took matters into her own hands. I was sitting in the other chair, She started jumping up and down on me, whimpering very loudly and throwing her little head in Hubby's direction. She was not breaking any rules jumping on me as I was not eating. She wanted to make sure that I was aware she was sitting there and I needed to remind Hubby she wanted some din din.......We both started laughing so hard we were almost ready to roll in the floor. Well, she was rewarded with her din din......

Well, My firend of over 30 years and I went out today. I picked her up a little after 10 and we arrived at our desination about 11:15. We went to lunch and talked, laughed and remembered all the great things of the years that we have been friends. She is very talanted and paints a lot of different mediums. She paints on old windows. She paints water colors, oils, all types of art. She use to do a lot of shws, but told me that she just did not have that drive any more. We had a great lunch (not a great waitress, as she was really not very interactive with her job). We left her a nice tip anyway. We only saw her three times during our meal, once to take our order and deliver it and again to put the bill on the table. Sorry when I go to a resturant I do like ineraction from the wait staff. Not just take th e order, deliver and then, leave the bill. Upon leaving we both commented on this. The other wait staff was giving really good service to their customer. Like brining the bread then the salad and commenting they would hold off on the entree until they were ready. Not ours she sat down the salad and then immediately brought the entree.
I am a slow deliberate eater. I want to enjoy my food, not shovel it down. I want each course finished before anything else is sat onthe table. Definitely not today. If that was Hubby with me, he would inform the wait staff that we wanted to finish our salads before entree delivered. We tried to order our salad before we placed the remainder of the order and she would not put it in the computer that way. Sorry, this does not make me a happy camper. Hubby knows I am funny this way and if we are ordering and appetizer or soup, he will fold the menu and push it to the far side from the wait staff, telling them that we will place the order when we have enjoyed our appetizer, etc. At our regular places, the staff knows this is our style and will inform us they will hold the order and not enter until we have enjoyed our previous course Sorry to go on about this, but when I am paying good money to eat out and enjoy a meal that is what I want to do.
Anyway, my friend and I enjoyed a lesurely walk along the touriest area and shopping as we went along. I got several of my Christmas gifts while there.
My friend painted me an old window. It is lovely. I love her cats so she painted a lovely cat in the middle of the frame on a roadway. It is reaching up to a hummingbird that is buzzing the hibuscus blooms dripping from the top. It is really beautiful. I am going to hang it in a window in one of my rooms as the window treatment. I cannot wait to get it in my window. The light will not show through the paint, but I think it will be a center piece in the room.
