Well, Hubby had to work Saturday and Sunday and I was working the market alone. It was extremely hot and then the really hard afternoon storms would come in. I tried to leave early to beat the storms home, but circumstances prevented it both days and I had to drive home in the raging storms. Miss Coco is not too happy when one of us have to work the market alone as she does not get all her treats.
Saturday moning I ran over to the resturant and had them put a little girts about a half cup into a cup with about a third of a scrambled egg. They have a buffet line that they serve from and the eggs were all that was left in the pan. They told me they would cook more, but i told them no it was for Miss Coco. I went to the cashier to pay for her eggs and grits and the lady looked at the little amount in the cup and asked about why so little. I told her that was about how much Miss Coco gets from Hubbys breakfast and she did not need any more. She laughed and said well Miss Coco could enjoy them on the house.
The lady that I got her from came by with some ice cream in in a cup and she sat there and feed her with the spoon. Of course, Miss Coco thought she was in heaven. But Sunday was so much hotter and we could not get away to get anything. She had her frozen water bottles in her bed that she lays on and I put a ice cube in her water dish every 20 minutes or so. But I will tell you she was not happy with ther dry food in her dish.
Today, I ran erands and came back home. I was going to watch a new program on tv and she got up in my lap, pressed her little head up to my neck in her form of a hug and settled down in my lap and went to sleep. Every once in a while she has really soft snoore that you can hear if you listen close.
Hubby is on 10 hour days this week. I had a tuna salad when he got home and then he told me is has to work 16 hours tomorrow so he ate and went to bed early. We are thankful he has a job in these times, but we would like a little less hours. HOpefully he will not have towork this weekend, but we will not know until Wednesday. These kind of hours put him well over the breakeven point on overtime and then the government ends up wit all the additional money.
