CAR REPAIRS AND QUOTES

Monday, August 31, 2009

The power steering went out on my car. It was a small valve that failed, but we could not get a replacement part until this morning. Hubby replaced it and I was up and running again. While at the dealership, we got the quote on the new tires as it is due to go in for service in two weeks. We want to have the tires replaced while it is in and get all this done in one day. For some reason, they want me to get one brand of tires over the other and I have check out on the internet and I will get better wear out of the one that I want. When leaving I asked Hubby why to guys seem to think I am clueless when discussing my car and what I need for it. He just laughed and said well they are use to women letting them make the decisions on their vechiles and they do not think you should question them. Well, I had also shown Hubby the information I had found and he agreed with me. When leaving I remarked that I had two weeks to decide if I get my tires here or elsewhere

A LAZY DAY

Sunday, August 30, 2009

Not much to report today. We had a long lazy day. It was hot so we just cooled it by the AC and nibbled on fresh fruit and ate some popcorn and watched a couple of movies we have had for a while and never the time to sit down and watch. Coco cooled it with us. She would watch us eating some fruit and she would bring out one of her treats that she had hidden away for a special time

LITTLE COCO

Friday, August 28, 2009

Well, the are in a transition period with little Coco. The vet had me switch from a topical worm and flea medication to the oral. I was afraid I would have a hard time getting her to take the tablets, but she just gobbled them up. I feed her immdiately afterward so they would not be on an emplty tummy. On advised to give with a meal. I am switching her shampoo to one that is good for the skin. Hope it works. She has some dry spots so I am trying to avoid that. It cost enough so it should work (???? as if cost has anything to do with it) I went to Petsmart and 6 lbs of her food and the shampoo was over $35.00. She went with me and wanted to shop on her own. She is so funny. She walks down the aisles and sniffs of the items on the bottom shelf. She does not try to get them or anything, but just sniff. There was a toy on the floor and she sniffed, it looked up at me as if to say, it was not me that left this one on the floor. Hubby always comments to her about her toys being strown all over the floor.

Pets are pretty funny. We have two tabby cats. What kind of animal do you have, I figure it's probably a dog, cause most cars will not go to the store with you. Hope that shampoo works emoticon

THOUGHT MAYBE THE STORMS WERE OVER BUT

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

I was hoping we would have a few days without the horrid thunderstorms each day, but no, in watching the weather on the local, we will be having the daily storms through next week. I just would like to have a day I could plan to go somewhere and not get soaked. Coco is wanting her day at the doggie park, but the storms are coming earlier int he day when I was usually taking her.

THANKS FOR ALL THE RESPONSE ON MY LITTLE BLACKMAILER

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

I enjoyed all the comments to my post regarding the blackmailing nature of my little Coco. Today was much better. I got up early, fixed myself a cup of hot tea, picked her up and put her in my lap to watch the morning news while sipping my tea. Apparently, that help to keep her calm today, as I gave her my full attention very early. She was curled in my lap while I watched the news. I woke her up and took her outside to run around for a little while before I took off and ran my errands. This seemed to work today. Maybe I will try it again tomorrow to see if that will keep her happy

Had to laugh - I have 2 little dogs that demand attention, and 2 of my 4 cats, also. I am writing this with my arm propped on top of one of my cats (He insisted on lying on the arm of my chair) and my litttle boy dog curled up next to my leg. Gotta love 'em!
