good news

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Hi, I am home safe and sound from the trip to court in Adelaide, it was a long 2 1/2 days sitting in court.

Lots of dramas in court but Jason won, he now has full sole custody of my 3 grandchildren.

Can't believe it, but I feel sorry for the kids. But the mother has done this.

I broke my Sparkstreak of logging in, missed out yesterday as I could not use the computer.

Good night I am going to bed.

    Hi Wendy,
So glad you survived the trip and time in Adelaide. I know it would have been very difficult all round for you and Jason. It is indeed unfortunate that the mother has brought this on herself, though thankfully the court has seen sense despite the dramas, so the grandchildren can now have some stability. Wishing you all the very best and I know the kids will love spending time with you. Have a good rest - you deserve it. And I wouldn't worry about that Sparkstreak...one day with this going on is very understandable!
Love and hugs, Nattacia

That is good news. It is always a sad thing when the kids have to lose a parent...I don't know the entire story but it is obvious that their lives will be much better without their mother at this time..I know you can now breathe a sigh of relief.

I'm glad you will be able to help raise your 3 special Grandies along with your son. I don't know anything about their situation but I'm glad they'll be in your care. They do need stability and lots of love and care. I know you are very loving and are continually there for them. Being in Court for 2 1/2 days doesn't sound like any fun so I'm glad that's over for you and everything turned out well. Prayers will be said for good Health and Happiness for all of you.

Hugs & Love,

Jill

good to hear the news. I am glad for all of you. My husband got custody of his children years ago, much better for the children, so I helped rise them. I raised 2 familys. It will be hard sometimes but the good always comes out ahead.
the best to all of you.

    Hi Wendy Dear,
Glad all went well and the kiddies will now have safety and stability in their lives.
I know that you and Jason will be a much better influence in your grandchildren's lives, than the unsuitable and risky live they lived with their Mother .

Perhaps as the years go by the kiddies mother will disassociate herself from the outside influences and be able to keep in touch with her children,
I know they will be safe and happy with you and Jason .
Hope you have a good rest now xx much love Susie xxx emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

The most important thing happened . . . Jason has full custody of those kiddos! I am so happy for him AND the kids. Yes, it is probably going to be a difficulty in those kids' lives with this change, but as you say, their Mom brought this on herself. **SIGH** Hoping this ends all the drama.

HUGS and take care of yourself.

Sorry aboutyou breaking your Sparkstreak for logging in, but under the circumstances I guess it could not be helped.

Hope things continue to work out for you and your son with it all.

Wendy, it drives me nuts that so many things are put into the papers etc incorrectly. I am a bit of a grammar, spelling nazi. Mind you I am starting to question myself sometimes as too many people are spelling words or putting articles together in a similar fashion so I start to wonder if I am wrong.

As for the lines you have put up, they are funny.

Thanks for the laugh.

It's all done electronically nowadays and I don't think a human eye ever gives it a look before publication. It really spoils some books for me as the gaffes leap out at me and ruin my train of thought. And as for the news readers *************. One of the most noticeable for me is the misuse of "less" and "few", and then there are the prepositions, its and it's, and all the horrible vogue words. Why do journalists these days have to be "across" a story - why can't they just follow it? I'd better stop here or this will become the longest comment ever.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Went back to my excerise class today, was not quite so hard today as Monday. Still lots of whole body movement. Lot different from the other instructor.
Still enjoyed it.

I had a very pleasant surprised today as I was notified by Sparks that I have become a "SparkPeople Motivator". So I would like to thank everyone who has voted for me so I could receive this honour. What a shock.

Everything else is okay at the moment. Have a doctor's appointment next Thursday about my blood tests and toe. I will be in Adelaide 2 or 3 days next week for the court sitting due to the family issues. My son will take his laptop so I will have to get it off of him so I can log on. LOL

More hot weather coming. Yuk

cheers
Wendy

I hope all goes well with your doctor appointment (I have one that day too) and also with the court sitting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good outcomes. Take care.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Because of Peter's illness I had to cancel my 2 osteo exercise classes this week but will be back into them on Monday and Friday. Like you, I think it will be a busy week with appointments 4 out of 5 days that I know about - more might loom up! It's not as hot here as where you are but it is still unpleasant with the humidity. HI, I must report that after my exercise class from hell yesterday I have pulled up better than I thought. Yes, my muscles are tired but not aching which I am very much surprised about. I forgot to add yesterday that this instructor does a lot of whole body movement, arms and legs at the same time. Also a lot work above the head. The other instructor works on one section at the time.

Since I fractured my toe late last year I have only been doing gentle exercises because my toe was not healing. Unfortunately I still not thnk it is healed yet unless I just cannot wear shoes anymore. If this is the case I am going to have cold tootsies in winter LOL.

I did have advise from the podiatarist? not to do strenuos exercises to give my toe a chance of healing. I have done everything she told me. Now I will have to organise another xray.

I will be back to my gentle exercises today, shopping tomorrow then the exercise class again Thursday. Sounds good to me. LOL.

Weigh day again on Saturday. That is another thing that I have changed, not weighing everyday only twice per week now and yet I forgot to weight today. I found that I was getting to frustrated when weighing everyday and not seeing any change. It is also more exciting when you see a weight loss at the end of the week.

cheers
wendy

Sorry to hear about your toe. I pray it does end up mending. I know my mother broke her little toe once and it seemed to take forever to heal. I hope yours doesn't take too long.

You are doing so well with your food and your exercise regime. As much as it is hard to not weigh daily it is often better to only do it once or twice a week as we tend to go up and down daily.

Keep up the good work.

I broke my left arm, falling off a ladder, in Jan. 2012. It was taking forever for the swelling and pain to go away. It wasn't till my pain management doctor sent me to PT for my Fibromyalgia, in September, that the pain and swelling started to subside. I can once again wear my wedding and engagement rings.

Maybe you just need PT for your toe.

Doing well, Wendy. I can't remember which toe you busted now, but if it was your big toe, then try some T-Tapp SATI (Step away the inches). Since discovering T-Tapp the pain in both my left hip and right knee has gone!! I am a total sceptic, but still waiting for it to come back after a week or more, and it hasn't .. awesome.

T-Tapp is at www.t-tapp.com and they have video try-before-you-buy. Maybe I have talked about this before to you. Can't remember now... but is all good for me.

Have the best day, girlfriend. You are doing really well.
