I have had a pretty incredible month, with my Nephrolgist appointment, then my parent's 60th wedding anniversary, I just seem to be busy.
I have also been going to exercise class 2 times per week and increasing the amount of exercises I do at home. I have also started to go to the gym today but these will only be for 30 minute sessions for cardio.
I am stilll learning as I go along with this journey. I do alway track my food and exercise on here but I have started recording in a journal everything I do with calories, exercise, calories burnt. Everything that I am doing per day. Then I am adding them up weekly, then dividing by the amount of days that I tracked. I must say that it has shown me some patterns and where I need to increase over the week.
As I have said I do this on Sparks but after the week, it is gone and out of mind LOL.
Another thing I have realised that when exercising I am not hufing and puffing as much as I was before because I have built my fitness up to where I am now. I was exercising in my comfort zone. I was coasting along, merrily on my way and not losing any weight but saying to myself "I am doing so much more now so I should be losing weight". But obviously just doing enough not to put on weight.
I have now increased the intensity of the exercises and cardio. Yesterday and today I did raise my heart rate and I was puffing a bit and today when I was on the treadmill the pulse got up to 120+. So I know I did work it.
I had to take a food diary today to the gym and was told not to eat carbs at night. I was hungry last night so I had a couple pces of toast and tracked it like I should. I was told that I must eat carbs earlier in the day and not at night. I was really hungry because I think it was the intenstity of the exercises.
Otherwise food has been really good. No other problems with that side.
So that all said the goal I am making is to huff and puff more and raise the heart rate when I am exercising. Raise the intensity Wendy.
No news on the grandchildren issue, I think this is going take some time for this to be sorted. Hopefully one day but I neeed to be fitter, stronger and healthier by this time.
