Goals for June

Thursday, May 31, 2012

Goals for June. I need to make this a fantasic month of June.

1. To cook, make and eat healthy meals including 2 or more meatless meals per week

2. drink 10 glasses of water per day.

3. Strength 3 times per week.

4. increase my cardio workouts. I need to start doing different things.
Do 2 or 3 Spark videos per day.

5. Need to increase, increase, increase because I know I am fitter, stronger and healthier than I was so I can do this.

7. this month I plan to lose 4kgs.

8. If I don't start going the right way I am not going to make my year goal of losing 25kgs for 2012.

Thanks Popsy I am going to add this one

9. Give yourself some credit for what you HAVE achieved!

In the steps challenge I ran on my team for 2 months I completed 483,211 steps. Never would have even attepted this before.
There have been so many improvements in me since I started this journey.

Thinking back over all the changes I have made, I have done a fantastic job.

update on my previous goals for May

Thursday, May 31, 2012

I had high hopes for my goals for May however they did not all come off. So this month I am going to have to become more smarter, there has to be easier ways for me to reach goals. By this I mean me be more intelliegent. LOL. This is because I had the flu in the middle of the month and everytime I tried to do anything I started to wheeze.

Goals for May

1. To cook, make and eat healthy meals including 2 or more meatless meals per week emoticon

2. Increase my steps to 250,000 for the month. emoticon there was about 280,000 steps.

3. Strength 3 times per week. emoticon

4. increase my cardio workouts. I need to start doing different things.
Do 2 or 3 Spark videos per day. emoticon

5. weightloss goals to lose the next 700 grams in the next week. emoticon

6. Need to increase, increase, increase because I know I am fitter, stronger and healthier than I was so I can do this.

7. longer term is to lose another 3.3kgs to get down to where I was before my computer crashed last year. I need to get rid of these 4kgs to get to where I was. emoticon

8. At this stage I need to lose about 3kgs per month to make the 25kgs for 2012.
emoticon

Health problems did knock me around this month but I must do better this month.

We all have set backs, being sick is a big one, i know for i have had Bronchitis and it is just now breaking up in my chest. The flu is bad also. Do you not get the Flu shot.
Take your time and do only what you feel like doing. emoticon emoticonnow you can do it emoticon emoticon emoticon

Don't be too hard on yourself - you are doing great - especially with the flu - at least you are not going backwards - the numbers on the scale certainly don't tell the full story of how much healthier you are.
Cheers

The 'flu is enough to have to combat. I think sticking to food goals and doing steps is about all you can expect of yourself when you have it. Otherwise you risk its effects being even more debilitating. All the best for June!

Pottasium is now back to normal levels. I think I must have done something wrong. i did have a couple of bananas in the last couple of days. I wonder if this done it. But I have eaten bananas before but probably have never had a blood test the day after.
I will have to be careful now and not be a naughty girl. LOL

I do love a banana from time to time. . .so it sounds like eating that banana before your test threw it off. Please don't do that again.

Jill

I have never had a test but sure mine needed a boost before I stated on SP. I try to use the nutrition guide and know mine intake is low but on days I have cabbage, brussel sprouts, bananas and lima beans the numbers are a little better

Banana's are quite high in potassium .. a good idea would be to ask your Specialist when you see him !!

30th May

Had my blood test today and my doctor rang about 6.15pm to say that my pottasium as gone high, needed to go up there and get a prescription so we can get this level down. As I needed to start this tonight. Of course when I went down to the chemist they did not have this, they rang up the only other one that was opened at that time and they did not have it either. So I ended up going up the hospital and sat there for 3 hours, waiting to get the powder. I have now had my first dose and another tomorrow morning, then I have to have another blood test straight away.
Funny thing my creatinine and urea levels have improved again.
So that is an interesting blood test, not sure about any of the other levels.

Not much else to report but I am going to bed.

Goodnight.

thank you all, I did have another blood test today and the levels are now back to normal. Don't really know what happened. I spoke to the nurse today and she commented that the pottasium was very high and dangerous. So the 2 doses must have worked. I see the Nephrolgist next Friday so this will be discussed and even the treatment I had, so I know it was the right decision.

the medication was Resonium A. proper name is Polystyrene Sulfonate Sodium Powder. Don't really know if I like the name LOL. First sounds like foam, sodium we know what that is. sounds scary.

I do like to keep these doctors in their jobs and on their toes and throw in a curb ball every now and then LOL
