thank you everyone who commented on my last blog. I have been very busy in my personal life lately and not having as much time on here. Finally got the death certificate for my ex so now we are busy sorting out all that.

I am now trying to cut out the high carb foods and sticking to the low GI foods to see if that helps me to lose some more weight. Eating has been really good.

I will be very busy again next week with a dietician appointment and 2 doctors appointments. Luckily the dietician and 1 doctors appt. is here but the other one I need to drive a couple hundred kms to see that doctor. A real pain in the you know where.

Weigh day tomorrow so I am hoping I have some good news. LOL

    thank you all for your comments. My car has air conditioning but i still hope it is not hot, as I hate driving when it is too hot, so much glare coming in the front window. Yuk. I will drive safe, I hope to take someone with me this time.

Hi, I will explain about the exercise class I go to. It is aimed for the older person. So it is gentle exercises. A lot of stretches, strength and a lot of movement. I must admit that it does raise my heartbeat and makes me breathe heavy and fast. Because of how it affects my breathing it is also cardio for me. The instructor breaks it up into about 20 to 25 minutes parts then we have a drink, then start again. The first part is a lot of movement , second part is usually chair exercises, third part is with a exercise ball, then the cool down. We use weights, resistance bands, noodles and other things, it all depends on the day. I do work up a sweat.
By my pedometer yesterday I did over 2000 steps there. I do enjoy it. Feel good today.

    Sounds like you are taking care of yourself again. That's great. We live pretty far from dr.s and we've had to travel to another state for my younger dd last year. If you have to spend the night because of travel for medical see if the place your staying has medical discounts. I know places around here who give discounts if they can verify you have an appointment. Good luck on all.

    That sounds like a good work out for you you. I had a gym membership and used to do a pilates class weekly for awhile, I miss the class concept because I was more committed to do the exercise when i was part of a regular group.

Great day today, started my exercise class today although i think I am going to be sore later on LOL. This class went for 90 minutes.
thank you all for your lovely comments. I do need to look after me and I am the only one who can do that.
Had 44 mm or nearly 2 inches of rain here, late yesterday afternoon and last night and so cool today.

    It is supposed to be 60 minutes but usually it runs to 90 minutes.

    It sounds like the heat wave is gone there. Yes, You are your own top Priority now so take good care of yourself. Working out with a class for 90 minutes is a really long class as most of them here are 60 minutes. Enjoy the upcoming week.

Thought I would quickly do a blog in case we lose power, as some people have lost their's already. We have had a fortnight of hot weather, so over it now but it is now raining. We have had about 1 inch so far. So now it is very muggy. Cool change later tonight or tomorrow.

Again i let life take a hold of me and it got my down for a while. Not happy with myself for letting this happen. I think I exhausted myself with how much I had to do in such a short space of time. Things are settling down now, still waiting tor the death certificate and on. Still trying to put everything in place but at least it will be easier now.

So in the last couple of days I have had to get my thinking about me back in place so I can put my plan into action. I need to remember to put ME first. As I am the most important person to me here. I was really not doing me any favours as i was still putting everyone else. Not the sensible thing to do when it is to the detriment to my health.

I need to remember to put me, me, me, me, me first

I've thought about you alot while you were gone. I too have had my struggles the last few weeks and it can be overwelming. Take a breath, you might have to take a step or 2 less than where you last were but you can do it. I know you can. You did it before and you WILL do it again. I have faith in you. I want you to be able to reach the top of that water tower and take a picture of the view from the top. You have proven you are emotionally strong for your son. Now do it for YOU! Yes, it will be steep and scary. Putting all that stuff together helping your son after his dad died was hard and difficult too. He needs you more than ever. You need you more than ever too.     It's funny how we go from "me,me,me" as children, thinking about no one but ourselves, to learning to love and give to everyone else first--to have to relearn that there is a time and place for "me,me,me" that preserves our ability to give!

And that second version is HARD! Ironic, huh.... LOL

I am feeling better, I have been very tired after the busy week I had last week. I have been having lots of me time, I needed it. I will try to catch up with everyone on the weekend. my son will be away with his girlfriend so I will be home alone.
