Woke up this morning knowing I had chores to do, and this brought me down
So I got the hubby going and off we went. I planned on going to the gym after running around, but increasingly started feeling sluggish and not well. I made up my mind that I didn't feel well and was going to go home and get in bed. But I bought new earbuds while out, and as I was trying them out on my phone I was listening to my get-up-and-go music. I glanced at the gym bag I had packed, turned to hubby and said drop me at the gym and I'll walk home after.
I'm usually self conscious about being a big girl, but I felt right at home. I tried different cardio machines where as I usually just walk on the treadmill. I still can't tolerate much on the eliptical since lifting my own weight is still a challenge, but I know I'll get it and at least I tried. I finally settled on the stationary bike as it was the only the that I could read "the Spark" on while excercising. I noticed I was going at a really good pace with the fit-appearing woman next to me, and I wasn't dying! Yay ME! So I'm dreaming of
trying a 5k someday, and have been increasing my walking to almost 3 miles.
But the thought of jogging was still a distant dream. So as I walked home couple of blocks, I broke into a jog! It didn't last but maybe a 50 yards but I did it! and I can do it! Very exciting as I continue on my journey everyday trying new challenges. I'm gonna keep Sparking!

1) Got up with a positive attitude, even if I'm the only one home I smile :)
2) Started sparking!
3) Went for a brisk 2 mile walk with my dog.
4) Made a healthy chicken salad with fruit n nuts, added a leaf of lettuce and
rolled up in a tortilla, yum.
5) Huddled with my teams and checked out message boards.
6) Took time to sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather with a cool breeze.
7) Planned out a portion controlled but tasty dinner for the family.
8) worked on sparkpoints, tracked food, excercise and water.
9) had a healthy snack in the evening.
10) Ended back on sparkpeople reading emails and articles.

Worked this weekend for 2- 12 hr shifts, but got my act together friday with some good planning. First, I went grocery shopping and bought healthy foods for me and hubby. For my teenager, I did buy some junk food but gave it to him to
keep out of sight in his room. Planned and packed healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks for work. Biggest thing is I went to work with a positive attitude and a smile on my face, and this made all the difference. Feeling good about the past 2 days :)

Rough weekend here, first rode my bike for 11.4 miles with a friend, but on my way home started suffering from severe shoulder pain in the joint. By early evening the pain had become unbearable, so off to the urgent care I went. Had a very bad experience with the MD there, left there no better off and still in tons of pain. Now I'm not a whiner, and can take alot of discomfort but this was serious, so I did the next best thing, went out to the bar with my friend.
Still stuck to my food plan. In the morning I still suffered from shoulder pain but now added was the headache from the spirits the night before. So Sunday was Easter, I had stuck to my plan faithfully for a week, and mentioned it to my hubby, who quickly gave me his diet viewpoint-you should get one day off a week, stick to it 6 days a week then eat what you want on 1 day. So this
gave me permission in my mind to blow it, yep off to the chinese buffet. I had
a little guilt but not much, but was determined to get back on the horse today. And so far I'm doing good, been sparking all day, and learning alot. So gonna hold my head up and keep on the right path.
