Blogging Week 2

I've had a good week. lots of energy, lots accomplished and my house is fairly organized. good thing since tomorrow is a work day.

It has been a wonderful weekend. warm and sunny. I've managed a bit of time on my deck and outside for a bit today at an engagement party. I'm 2/3 of the way through writing a book. that's another return for me and it feels good.

my food is clean and my weight is going in the right direction, slowly but it's moving again. and not up.

i am very grateful to people here at Spark. it's all good.

blogging again

I haven't posted since mid june. sheesh. I have had a busy and fun summer but not much activity. but i've joined a team that requires weekly blogging, so here i am. Wish I had something interesting, intelligent or motivating to say, but the best I can offer is that even though I haven't been working out or doing much, I've continued to post here at SP. I figured if I kept the connection it would be easier to get back on track when i'm ready.

    I am with you - I journalled for years... but now blogging doesn't seem to be the same; although I do not journal any more either. It is a good release I think, so it cannot hurt.

It's been a good weekend. I had a long to do list, and got it all done.

best of all i had 2 walks, and a strength training session.

all is good. and i'm ready to go back to work tomorrow.

it's been a couple of weeks since I blogged. where does the time go?

it's been an ugly few weeks. i know that I don't do well with goals and challenges - I go over the top mentally and then i crash and do nothing. that whole consistency thing is an issue for me. now I'm trying to find an answer that will work for me. I believe it's here, but I have to put my finger on it.

weird, how my brain works. I'm such an addict in my thinking. sheesh. I'm too old for this kind of stuff. I have to get on track and stay there.

    I am trying the 10% thing.... focusing on smaller pieces as to them not being overwhelming.

Of course my return from holidays, met with my job being eliminated, so I have some extra time on my hands! Tomorrow may tell me if there is another position in the company, or if I get a package.... hmm, not sure which to wish for, so I guess I will learn to accept whatever comes. Worse case scenario, I may get a couple more days of full pay before they decide.

Just trying to use this time to the best effort. If you are in the south and want to walk at lunch let me know!

    Twelve Step programs teach that "Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today." Over and over, I have found that to be true, even though I sometimes arrive at that understanding kicking and screaming.

Black and white thinking, all or nothing thinking and beating up on myself can all be examples of "stinking thinking." When I do it, I set myself up for a roller coaster ride to failure.

We're right where we need to be. We have accomplished so much. When we hit rough spots, we get out our diagnostic tools and get our focus and balance back where they need to be. I can't, my HP can, I think I'll let HP take over now. :))

    Yeah, I do that too. Full momentum at first, then peetter out. Impatient for results.
Sigh. One of life's lessons. Everything at a steady, not manic, pace.

thursday june 2

For Wednesday, I committed to:

1. I will go to deep water at lunch today or 30 mins of cardio tonight
2. I will go to my meeting tonight
3. I will do some ST tonight

I walked for 20 minutes at lunch -my meeting went too long for the pool
I had a wonderful nap after dinner, rather than going to my meeting
Completed 45 minutes of ST - great workout

for today - I'm in a meeting all day so,
1. drink lots of water
2. go for a walk at some time today
3. dust upstairs
4. do some work on my eating - weird stuff happening there

and enjoy the day
