Day 8 - 1st weigh in

Well it went better than I expected!! I had not done as well as I planned on Saturday and Sunday so I thought for sure I had only lost 1 lb. I was ready to be ok with that but when I stepped on the scale I lost 5 lbs, I couldnt believe my eyes!! I am sooo happy with that. The reason for my Saturday and Sunday choices not being so great was due to not planning and getting to the grocery store to make sure I had all the foods on hand that I needed so we had to eat out a little. I made the best choices I could based on what they had to offer and I must have done pretty good!
It has become easier and I am not feeling so hungry once I got past day 3 and 4 If I think I am hungry at a time that doesn't make sense I just find something else to think about and drink more water. Usually I find that I am actually thirsty and not hungry after all.
Another thing I did lastnight that was pretty cool was I really wanted a snack when I came home from the grocery store BUT....I knew the scale was waiting for me this morning so I got out a healthy snack but to make sure I didn't overeat, I tokk a bite, put away some groceries then another small bite, and before I knew it I had only eaten 1/2 of the amount I portioned out and was full and satisfied. Because I ate it so slowly I could tell when I was full without eating too much.

Well as I had projected day 3 & 4 were a little tougher but not impossible, I got through it fine by thinking about stepping on the scale on Monday morning, which will also keep me good through the weekend so that is why I pick Monday weigh ins.
I have also started to be more vocal if someone else like my husband fixes my plate to say, that is enough or I will get my own that way I dont even have it on the plate to begin with!
I am excited, I have done my zumba 3 times this week so I should hopefully loose about 3 lbs this week. I am keeping my goals small to make them attainable so I do not get upset if I didn't do as well. Kepping my expectations lower may seem like a strange thing but I think it will keep me on track! I am super motivated as I have been having some health issues (minor) so far but I don't want them to turn into something worse!

Day 1 I did great! I stayed within the goals and did Zumba at the gym! I hope I continue to do this well everyday, they say the 1st day is the hardest but I disagree, I still have a lot of food in my system, I think the hardest comes in on days 3-5 when you feel like you are so hungry you could eat off your own arm!!
