Let me begin with a disclaimer. I am not an energy drinker. Never have. Never will. Yuck.
OK, now that weíve gotten that out of the way, hereís what I want to tell you. Drink energy drinks. Haha, OK, Iíll explain.
Up until recently, the energy drinks that have been on the market do not meet my qualifications for what I put in my body. Call me crazy, but I like to put foods in my body. I know, I know, thatís a little radical these days, but I promise you, Iím not a weirdo. I have simply discovered that my body actually runs BETTER on food than chemicals! Who knew?!
The energy drinks that I have seen, in my opinion, are all about generating that hit of energy. They donít *seem* to be interested in my overall health...just that quick hit. I have a problem with that. Just dropping ďenergyĒ into my body is not what I need. Iím a whole person. I would like to obtain energy holistically. More on that later.
What really cracks me up is that those massive energy drink cans are actually TWO servings (according to the facts on the back of the can). How many people do you know that drink half the can, put a little saran wrap on the top and store it in the frig for the next day? LOL. So not only are they drinking (in some cases) harmful substances, but they are getting them in DOUBLE DOSES! Oh dear.
So, Iím not here to bash energy drinks. You can read. You decide.
But I am saying that I am not opposed to needing an energy boost every now and again. After all, Iím a single Mama running a business. Need I say more?
So what to do?

I recently entered a contest to describe what ecstatic wealth means to me. As I worked to produce this winning video, it dawned on me that really ecstatic wealth is exemplified when I love myself.
Self-love can be accomplished in many, many ways, and I outline some of them in my video.
I share it with you with the desire that you look within and see how you love YOURself. The more we consciously love ourselves, the more we are xtremely well, and ecstatically wealthy.

Do you remember using the Internet for the first time? I do. It was life changing. I remember being amazed at the power it gave me and how simple it made my life. If I wanted to research something all I had to do was type into a search engine (my favorite was AOL ;)) and in the blink of an eye, before you could say Xtreme Wellness, there it was. Green smoothies are a great, great, GREAT way to get your veggies. Vegetables are not only delicious, but they are chock full of health benefits as well. Most vegetables are naturally low in fat and none have cholesterol. They are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fiber, folic acid, and vitamins A and C. And might I remind you:
When the body gets what it needs, it heals itself.
I recommend drinking at least one green drink a day. By just implementing this simple change, you will notice drastic results in your health.
This particular green smoothie isn't like anything you've ever seen. It isn't, um, well, green. And yet it is. ;)
The Greenless Green Smoothie
1-2 handfuls baby spinach
1/2 cup mango, frozen
1 cup mixed berries, frozen
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 banana, peeled (LOL)
1 cup water
For this smoothie, and ANY smoothie, I will be using my favorite kitchen appliance eva!...the VitaMix.
1. Start with the water and spinach. I used two handfuls because I love it. ;)
2. Next, add the frozen fruit.
3. And now for the coconut oil. This is so important because it helps with blood sugar control, as well as increasing metabolism, energy and endurance. Plus..it's yummy.
4. Add the banana.
5. And finally the ice...if you want. I like a really cold smoothie, so I add about six ice cubes.

Are you feeling time-challenged? Do you silently scream when someone blithely says, ďYou have just as much time as everyone else does!Ē You feel different, donít you? I know I do. I may have as much time as everyone else does, but Iím still feeling time challenged.
Unfortunately when this happens, somethingís got to go. For me, itís usually something that pertains to taking care of myself. As a busy mother of two, blog writer, and entrepreneur extraordinaire, I must admit I donít take enough time for myself.
Lucky for you I care about you and want to be a good leader. Lucky for me that means Iím going to stop pushing my needs to the bottom of the heap.
I know a lot about fitness. I have done a lot of exercising and fitness programs in my life.
Currently Iím doing a LOT of sitting.
And can I just sayÖ.ow.
It doesnít matter that I have my favorite exercise programs that have worked wonders for me. If I donít push away from the computer and actually go do them, Iím not really getting the benefits, am I?
I am not achieving total body fitness by reading about fitness. (That was hard to admit.)
Thankfully my revelation comes at a time where science has met up with exercise, and we can now attain fitness with a short(er) time input.
