Yesterday, when I was having my car worked on, I was chatting with the lady at the counter. I noticed that on the wall among certificates about the mechanics training that she had a certificate from the Dale Carnegie course. I told her that my mom had taken that course many years ago and that she had taught me one of the phrases from it: Accentuate the positive and minimize the negative!

According to Matthew 5:1

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

According to Matthew 5:1, "Who was the sermon on the mount addressed to?"

The crowds or the disciples? Or both? Why?

I'm really interested in your answers because I don't have an answer. I could choose all three depending on the study bible I'm using.

So, what's your opinion?

    King James says, "the multitudes"

New International Version says, "the crowds"

(I think I like Kings James best) emoticon

Heck, you left me a spark goodie, and went offline. Which isn't private - IT IS YOU WERE GONE. You had me worried, you didn't say Good-bye. You said Have a nice day. Good to have you back. Hobbies, I read, I need to get to the Library. I used to cross stitch, but I shake to bad for that. This is my sisters' house, I have Nothing Here To Do As A Hobby.

My Husband Ate

Wednesday, August 22, 2012

I tried a SparkPeople recipe a couple of week ago and tried it on my husband. He wanted nothing to do with my "diet food" as he calls it. I don't give up easily. All I prepare anymore is healthy food, so today he could try my recipe or not. It was his choice. He joined me for lunch and LOVED it, as did I! We gave it a rating of "Incredible" on SparkRecipes. I made SparkRecipe "Island Chicken with Pineapple Salsa", brown rice and peas. Delicious! I might just Spark him after all. Happy cooking everyone.

Let him go hungry enough and he will eat anything. Glad it was a good recipe, it sounds delishous.

So glad he tried it and enjoyed it. Sometimes you just have to let them make the decision for themselves. LOL!!!

Wonderful. Yes, by example, and the great tasting food. You may make a convert out of him.

I suspect that he thought that "diet" food would be boring, bland, and leave him hungry!

Hey, sometimes you just have to do what you have to do and let hubby come along for the ride or fend for himself. Glad it worked well for both of you.
