In the first 2 weeks at SP, I lost 16 lbs and walked an average of 2 miles per day, 3 days a week. Eating Healthy is easy, as is staying within my calorie limits. It's the exercise that's hard for me. I have to remind myself every day why I'm walking, usually several times before and during exercise. I feel so much better overall. I'm getting stronger. I don't have to stop as often to stretch my back. I'm boosting my metabolism. I'm losing weight. I have tons more energy. I love being outside with nature. I get to see the sun rise each morning. These are some of the reasons I walk. I just thought I needed a reminder.

    It can be so hard to put one foot in front of another again and again, called walking! BUT after we do it, we feel so much better. The rewards are great. emoticon

It can be hard to talk ourselves into that exercise- but then once it's done you always feel so great , strong, and like you really accomplished a goal.

I've lost 16 pounds these first 2 weeks in Sparkpeople and have already dropped 2 jean sizes ahead of my goal for July. I have a long way to go, but I've made a strong start. The key for me is persistence. I want to keep going strong and not fizzle out. One day at a time. emoticon
