Hey all. Hope you all had a good day. Went to Fitness Together in Boston for a 45 minute small group session which was a killer but great workout. Visited friends and must admit I was a little naughty today but not going to beat myself up...just will let it go and get back on the wagon tomorrow.

And a new week is upon us. My goal for this week is to keep on tracking everything I eat, drink and, of course, my exercise. New job starts tomorrow so that's another thing to look forward to.

Will be going to visit a friend of mine who had surgery last week. We may order in tonight...Chinese Food which is a great weakness of mine.

My strategy for this...going to eat a little something before I go so this way I don't gorge on the Chinese. I believe this is a good strategy. Any thoughts???

    Thanks Prinesssofi...I did just that and ordered what was heart healthy on the menu...chicken and broccoli stir-fry with steamed white rice. :)

Feeling energized for my workout this morning. Just had my breakfast and getting myself ready for the gym in a few minutes. Will be working out with my trainer again today. He's great and keeps me in line. emoticon

Hello everyone...

Been kind of down and out for a little while but things are starting to look up for me. Will be starting a new job on Monday for a company that manufactures insulin injectors and will be a Benefits Research Assistant. Very excited about this new opportunity.

Also, have joined a fitness/weight loss competition with my local YMCA called THE MELTDOWN. It's for 8 weeks and today was my first session with my trainer. I made it through but am very sore (a good sore). I have finished my first 5K on October 9th. I didn't run all of it but a run/walk and finished in relatively good time.

My goal is to start slow and work my way to at least 30 minutes of running without need for walking breaks. It will take some time but with practice I know I will do it.
